My experience living here has not been great. The management is rude and arrogant and will not be helpful. The hallways smell of mold

This building is just okay, and I would say not worth the price. I relocated for a job and had to find a place with 3 weeks notice and if I had had more time I probably would not have chosen here. For a new "luxury" building the finishes are not very nice and the appliances are not high quality. My oven is useless if I have to cook anything at over 400 degrees - if you want to bake anything at 450, hope you have an entire afternoon to wait around for the oven to preheat, if it ever reaches the right temperature at all. I had maintenance look at it and they told me it was fine, so either maintenance is bad or the appliances are. The windows are sealed shut. What most frustrates me, though, is the lack of communication from management. I actually think the leasing people are very nice, but for some reason Capitol Places is just MIA on this building. The pool "hours" are less what's posted and more "whenever we feel like opening it." Hours were restricted for COVID (understandable!) however they don't actually follow that schedule. The pool is just locked most weekends despite being advertised as open 10:00AM-3:30PM, which means it's closed for the time most people who work full time would have a chance to use it. I inquired if the hours had changed or something and management blamed the protests saying it was locked some days because of "safety." The protests have never once threatened the property, it's been locked up on days nothing actually was happening and most importantly, they never communicated with tenants. (If it's so dangerous outside, seems like that might warrant at least an email?) I don't think keeping us updated on an amenity we are PAYING TO USE is that much to ask and if we're getting significantly restricted from something that's advertised as part of the building quite frankly, we should be getting a discount on rent. It's appallingly lazy management considering you're charging $1000+ to people for a "luxury" brand new apartment.

I have lived in the building for a year and by far the best place I have lived. The keep the hallway clean and any issues are quickly resolved by management. Amenities are nice and the location is awesome.

I hav enjoyed living here! Great location for the price. There are ups and downs, as expected. Management seems to be slow to respond to complaints, but I havent had a major issue. The apartments themselves seem like they were thrown together a little - no primer before painting the walls, paint splatters on the floors, etc. but nothing major. There has been an issue with smoking in the building, but it seems to have gotten better!! All in all, it is a great building.

As someone who has lived in other buildings offered by capitol places I can say I have been majorly disappointed in my decision to live here. The office lady is nice but she also talks quite loud on the phone outside, at various hours of the day, and it can heard in my apartment multiple stories up. It is also somewhat degrading from a professional standpoint to see a management figure in pajamas walking the halls at various hours and making conversation pertaining to our satisfaction with the "wonderful new place". Onto the major issues. Paying over a grand for a "luxury apartment" with amenities I will likely never use for various reasons is to be expected in this area it seems. However, when the apartment itself is a poor excuse for a presentable product all those promised features become only a distraction from the atrocious finish work in the of the one area I pay for and would like to be up to par. I am particular and some of my issues may not be a bother to anyone else but as a college student I would like to limit poor reciprocation to my education and not add my housing to my list of disappointments. Now that I attempted to explain my irritation as appropriately as possible allow me to list some of the realistic expectation that you may find upon deciding to live here. - zero finish work imagine spraying cleaner and then not caring to wipe said cleaner up. There is pencil lines all over the apartment and while I sure love seeing how they still managed to mount things crooked I do not care to see the skid-marks of their attempts. -There are shims still left in the cabinetry that again still is not flush -Behind appliances there are random holes in the wall as they were clearly unaware of the measure twice cut once preaching - These churches are the opposite of gods gift to this planet. Nobody should have to hear 2 churches ringing at 15 minute and 30 minute intervals. We have atomic clocks that are immensely precise scrap the inaccurate antiquated garbage.

My experience with management has not been great. Difficult to get maintenance issues addressed ( +more maintenance issues than I expected from a new 'luxury' apartment). Poor communication and little respect for residents. However, the ladies in the leasing office are very nice. I cannot recommend at this point. Also, there is no trash disposal from Thursday 8pm to Sunday 6pm, you have to keep it in your apartment.
