    I lived here for two years while finishing up my graduate degree. The management is awful. It was in my lease and advertised on the website that there was free WiFi on the property. This is not the case, and although I complained about this several times the issue was never resolved and I had to purchase my own WiFi. Another thing that was advertised on their website is free laundry on site. About 2 months into me living there, the washers and dryers on site were replaced with no notice to the residents and we started having to pay $2.75 per wash and $2.00 per drying cycle. When confronted with this, management did nothing to help. When I was finally able to move out, my parents and boyfriend both helped me clean the apartment and remove all belongings. The apartment was in good shape with no damages and no personal items left behind. 31 days after the lease ended, I still had not received my security deposit back or any notice that they were keeping the deposit, so I reached out via email. Management claimed that they had mailed me a notice that they were keeping my deposit and that I owed $145 on top of the deposit for cleaning charges. Again, nothing was damaged in the apartment and I never received this notice via mail. When I questioned management, it was explained that I had the option to hire a cleaning service to clean the apartment before I moved out and that I would have likely received my deposit back if I had done so. When I stated that this was nowhere in my lease, I was presented with an itemized list of the cost for cleaning each item in the apartment which I had not signed and which was not present anywhere in my lease. All in all, the place does not take care of its residents (or employees it seems based on the turnover rate of on site management). I would avoid this complex if at all possible.

    The place is in a residential area off the strip ( Meeting St is two blocks East) so it seems quieter, has permit or on street parking on a corner lot. A resident at the place told us the W/D is in another building and one was broken. Was close to ACBA and groceries. Seemed okay for the price, but chose a more expensive place for the upgrades and newer build. Its expensive in Charleston so this place comes in as the lowest per month we found for students. Seems safe.
