The property is beautiful and well maintained; the central downtown location is unbeatable; and the owners are very helpful and responsive.

I LOVED living at Cornerstone. It was the perfect location and pretty fairly priced (even though I know Charleston is expensive in general!). You're out of the craziness by all the restaurants, but it's a quick walk to any of them in either direction. Compared to the new big box apartments, this beautiful space with historic features makes up for any "amenities" that another building might have. (Plenty of your friends will have a pool that you can go to!) Plus I loved my neighbors. Great crowd, no college kids. You definitely won't find that kind of atmosphere in any other building. Only reason I moved out is because I bought a house! I miss living there!! I recommend it to any friend who is looking for a new place. Especially if you live out of town and are worried on budget - splurge and enjoy at least one year in this place! It is so safe, so charming, up to date, and the best way to get acquainted with Charleston.

Had the great opportunity to live at Cornerstone for a short 6 month lease. Could not have been more happy. An exceptional property with character that is well-maintained and extremely quiet for the professional looking for a place to live downtown. The management was extremely receptive and helpful at all times. They take pride in their property and it shows. We could not have been more pleased.

Cornerstone Apartments' location alone is a feature that sets it far apart. You'll be living on the corner of lower King Street and Hasell Street, placing you in the direct center of all downtown has to offer. The building has 2 sections, one dating from the mid 1800's and the other circa 1920; both meticulously renovated in 2013. Your apartment retains the historic features of brick wall details, hardwood floors, and high ceilings and windows, while you enjoy modern appliances as well as wood cabinets and granite countertops. Two coffee shops ( one Starbucks, one local ) are just around the corner, and the Harris Teeter grocery store is three blocks away. You are within walking distance of over 50 restaurants and pubs and virtually all of the venues used by Spoleto USA, Southeastern Wildlife Expo, Charleston Wine and Food Festival, and more. Very convenient parking in the garage, attached to the building for direct access! All units have full size appliances, including dishwasher and stacked washer/dryer. Inside bike parking. No trash fees!Pets negotiable. Courtyard garden on ground floor; conference room available for tenants use. Indoor bike parking, parcel lockers, security system.
