I lived at the Haven for more than 3 years. It was nice at first as the management seemed to truly care about their complex, but as the years progressed, companies and staffed changed, it is sad to say that the quality no longer matches the ever growing high price tag. Since moving in, the 'gated' community had working gates for approximately a year, and it haven't been functional since October 2016 and even then it was only for 2 weeks before they were broken again. There is no longer a playground available. Their gym lacks air conditioning. The trash area is absolutely horrific. Literally trash and/or boxes all the way to the road at least twice a week.
Now to the apartment issues. They are aesthetically nice, but don't be fooled. They are CHEAPLY made and don't use water resistant paint. My roof began to leak into my apartment in April 2017. It was not repaired until June 2017. The drywall and window were never repaired while I lived there which was over a year. Also, my sink, garbage disposal, or dishwasher never worked properly. It got to the point where management admitted to ignoring my work order requests. Water was flowing into the dishwasher instead of down the drain. Eventually after a month, someone would fix it only for it to break again a few months later. It got to the point where I couldn't even cook in the kitchen. Now they are charging me nearly $200 for move out fees without any explanation.
So please anyone thinking of moving into the Haven think twice! You probably will regret it like I did!
The money charged for rent etc...pool should be maintained by a professional not maintenance. Once or twice a wk the gates are locked so cant even go in to cook out or even lay out in sun. Replace lounge chairs at pool that are tore up and a better play area for kids to enjoy. Put some grills outside pool area and fix picnic table.
Overall everything is fine but for 2 things; 1)The area is suppose to come with closed gates which we pay for through our rent. However, I cannot recall the day I have seen the gates closed. They are always open. Why should I pay for open gates, should we not get a reduction for this? 2)There is parking set up for visitors, yet for 2 weeks (and before) I have seen 1+ cars without permits parked in non visitor spots every day. They are taking up spaces. This is caused by continual OPEN gates and lack of towing. There needs to be more monitoring/enforcement otherwise why do I need a parking pass? Suggest the lot be checked 2 times a day, before sunrise and around sunset (most crowded times in the parking lot).
The courtesy line after hours is terrible. They are rude and don't care about listening to you or helping. They cut you off while speaking.
We love, love, love your friendly attitude toward big dogs. While the apartment is nice and the staff are wonderful, the reason we picked this complex is because you are very accepting of big dogs. The office staff and maintaince are treat them wonderfully and spoil them and even managed to get us a small dog park on site.
