Living in South Carolina

South Carolina's oldest city, Charleston, is a fantastic southeastern city on the coast. Whether you want to live with a view of the ocean or in a historic neighborhood within the city, you'll find a variety of options throughout Charleston. Living anywhere in Charleston, you'll have convenient access from your apartment to six miles of South Carolina coast and picturesque beaches, such as Folly Beach, the Isle of Palms beaches, Bull Island, Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. Drive or walk through the historic districts of Charleston, and you'll see Victorian mansions, pastel-colored row houses and pre-war antebellum properties along streets lined with oak trees draped in Spanish moss.

Oceanfront at Myrtle Beach

Further north along South Carolina's east coast, you'll find another beach town, Myrtle Beach. In this ocean-side community, you can enjoy 60 miles of sandy beaches with warm sunshine and glistening waters. There are an abundance of attractions as well, such as deep-sea fishing, surfing, sailing, jet skiing, parasailing and more. The Family Kingdom Oceanfront Water Park is another top destination in the area for water adventure. If you've never watched the ocean on the horizon as you coast down a waterslide, it's an amazing experience you won't soon forget.
