University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, today known simply as USciences, is an institution that has rooted the Philadelphia community for nearly two centuries, and is credited with pioneering education in the field of pharmacy in the U.S. Previously known as the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the school was established in 1822 following a meeting of 68 area apothecaries who sought to improve the scientific and training standards in their field. Since becoming the country's first college of pharmacy, USciences as blossomed into an institution that brings student living to scholars who are interested in a variety of health-related disciplines.

Student housing at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia is open to candidates for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at the institution. USciences on and off campus housing serves about 3,000 students, who are engaged in 27 undergraduate areas of study and 21 graduate programs that are offered through five colleges.
