On Dec 13 residents were informed that the recycling receptacles have been removed due to "mistreatment of the area". No alternatives were offered and apparently no reduction in the resident charge for trash collection. Ahead of this there was only a small notice recently added to the recycle location that plastic bags are not to be used to contain recycle materials. No other broad-based recycling instructions were supplied to all residents ahead of this event. A more appropriate and effective approach would have been a notice to all residents explaining the problem along with more specific recycling instructions warning of termination of the service and consequences. Rather the new management chose to immediately terminate the service with no warning. Since then the site has NOT been overwhelmed with trash indicating that it is entirely possible that nonresidents were responsible for the problem they were experiencing.
Related to this matter, access to both the trash and recycle receptacles are not user friendly. At times, trash collects because some residents simply don't have the skill or strength to open the access panels and doors an leave their trash outside. There were other ways to deal with trash and recycling problems. It does not appear that management is qualified to deal with their management responsibilities.
Convenient location, impeccably maintained apartment homes. The private outdoor deck is a great bonus as well as the full sized washer and dryer. I leased an apartment for almost 2 years for frequent trips to Pittsburgh to visit family and friends. I was thoroughly impressed with the facilities and the layout of the unit. The management is top notch, with responsive and attentive personal attention. I once locked myself out of the unit on arrival from my 6 hour drive from Virginia. It was a cold, wet, late Friday evening and the on call maintenance person did not grumble or delay in getting to me to make a new key and provide access to my apartment. If I recall correctly it was some sort of sports playoff night, as well. This is just a sampling of the level of care and friendliness provided at this lovely complex. AND did I mention the convenient location:) I 79, I 376 practically at the entrance (each only minutes from the wooded and secluded feeling grounds). Trees, green space and updated, chic clubhouse etc etc etc round out the wonderful experience to be had at Waterford Nevillewood!
The property itself is nice but the staff and some details are lacking. There seems to constantly be loud work going on outside of my window at early hours but yet the stairs are falling apart and the exterior of the building is pretty dirty. The parking situation is not on par with the amount of rent paid. Guests or tenants with multiple vehicles can occupy prime spaces while someone like myself that works a non-traditional schedule is forced to park very far from my unit later at night.
Overall I have enjoyed living at Waterford Nevillewood. For the most part all neighbors are extremely friendly and likable, though on few occasions there have been neighbors who's integrity and friendliness have been questionable and of a concern.
The property use to be impeccable and the landscaping was gorgeous. Now everything is overgrown and left very messy. They charge extra for certain views of a jungle like setting. The staff is lazy and spends most of the day watching TV and smoking. They should call residents to see how things are going. They should greet people at the pool or in the lots. Never should they out a renewal notice on your door that is lazy. Call people invite then in and thank them for their business.
