Horrible assistance from leasing consultants and property manager. Residents state that it is located in a bad area. Do not recommend.
Pros: Park View is a lovely place to live. Everyone in management is super friendly, the location is pretty decent, and any and all maintenance issues were addressed nearly immediately. They have tons of great events with free food, and free AC is a lifesaver in the summer. Cons: I absolutely would have renewed my lease for several years had it not been for the price - they raised my rent by almost 10% and were asking for $910 for a studio apartment (980 with two pets). The water bill is also insane, nearing $100 a month for two people. For reference, Im now paying $870 for a one bedroom in a nicer part of town, and maintenance pays our water bill. That, plus the absurd $35 per animal in pet fees, are far too much to justify in that location. The apartments themselves are okay, but nothing special. They permit smoking indoors, so the hallway constantly smells like cigarette smoke. The walls are also pretty thin, so pray for quiet neighbors.Overall, Park View is a great place to live when youre new to Pittsburgh. Youll meet a lot of friendly people and have a wonderful view of downtown. However, dont stay for longer than a year.
I love the location. But I can't recommend them based on my personal experience. Since new management took over, they have raised rents and pray and parking prices and are now charging certain utilities that used to be free, they removed all guest parking, and refused to replace a treadmill in the gym in our building for over a year, despite bragging about their so-called fitness centers. So my personal experiences with them have not been favorable and I would not recommend these apartments despite the amazing location.
