RENTERS BEWARE / HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
There are 3 elevators for the building. Two have been out of order for over a month now. Prior to that, elevators going out of order DAILY. Management is is not responsive despite multiple residents writing to express their concerns. At several points in the month, ALL 3 elevators were out of order. Do you think that is safe in a 20-some floor building? God forbid there is an emergency and emergency personnel cannot reach a resident.
This is NOT luxury living. The elevators have been an issue since we moved in a year ago. Frequently there are no elevators to use. The amenities space is rarely tended to. Dog run unclean, fire pits and grills not working properly... these are just a few of the issues. When we signed our lease we had no idea that the building worked out a deal with ROOST to have extended stay hotel rooms. This has been a huge area of contention. Management does not address issues in a timely manner, rather make up excuses as to why things are not fixed. They treat you like students in a dorm rather than professionals. For the price you are paying you expect a lot more and they do not deliver. They need to value the residents.
My partner and I moved in at the end of February, 2019. It all looks amazing at first, until you actually live here.
For months, we tried being understating. With it being a new building, there were bound to be some mishaps; however, after each subsequent issue, we came to realize that management is quite awful! Not only do we have to deal with building troubles on a frequent basis, but our interactions with management have been far less than ideal. Oftentimes, they've been downright exasperating and infuriating.
It took two months to hear from anyone about fixing the window leaks that occurred in our unit (and others as well). Even still, our floors have yet to be fixed as there are bubbles leftover from the ordeal.
It took them about a month to acknowledge there was an issue with our A/C, and we were left fending for ourselves.
Moreover, our door lock died for the second time in a matter of months. The first time happened weeks after moving in and then again two months from the first time it died! When we expressed disquiet over the constant, and highly inconvenient, problems with the locks, management actually had the audacity to ask us to keep an eye on the lock whenever it starts dying. Im sorry, what?! How much am I paying for this building? And you expect me to do YOUR JOB?! Unacceptable! There's no reason for such oversight and laziness. Management just doesnt care.
And now, good luck if ONE elevator works! Weve been stuck on the 23rd floor numerous times because all the elevators are broken, or 2/3 are out of service.
Furthermore, dont expect to have free reign in the building in which you live. The pool is great, but due to poor management, they require us to use wristbands. Not to mention, you have to share the pool with the hotel guests, who are given more liberties and privileges than the residents. To make matters worse, we have to compete with our neighbor building for the pool as well, as they are allowed access to it.
