I can not imagine a better-run building or a more responsible, responsive, thoughtful, helpful staff anywhere. I am just an old lady; they make me feel like a queen.

I have rented apartments for almost twenty years, and this apartment is easily the absolute best of all of the apartments in which I ever lived. This applies to pretty much all aspects -- the building itself is beautiful and well-maintained, rooms are interesting shapes and layouts, the maintenance staff is extremely responsive, the doormen are very friendly and professional, and the management company is fantastic -- actually caring about the residents as people and making their stay here as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The gym is also top-notch, and I will definitely miss it. In addition to all of this, the staff also hosted events for residents (from concerts to wine-tasting, to putting out pretzels every Friday evening -- though some of these things were necessarily cut back during the pandemic, of course). Due to COVID-19, all residents were offered renewal without any rent increase, which is really awesome, but it just so happened that we found a house to buy shortly after receiving the initial offer, and so departed. This is perhaps the first time I actually felt a little sad about moving out of an apartment!

My husband and I have had such a wonderful experience living at the Franklin. Not only is the building beautiful and in such a convenient location, but the whole staff at the Franklin is so helpful, attentive, and kind. We have really enjoyed our time living here the past few years and appreciate how amazing our experience has been.

Concierge staff is great (although they lost my key -- twice -- when it was left at the desk for my dog walker). Most residents seem nice but heaven help you if you have a noisy neighbor. I have been sujected to around-the-clock door slamming from across the hall. Door is sammed all day/evening/night long, sometimes 6-10 times in rapid succession, yelling into hallway. Leasing/management staff "apologized" but did nothing to address the noise resulting in disrupted sleep every night. (It is temp corporate housing at $3300/mo for studio.) Late one night, my dog put his nose to the bottom of the door and growled. It woke me so I got up and looked through the peephole. She was just standing in front of my door! It really creeped me out... why was she just standing there at 2:45 a.m?! The door slamming is totally avoidable and unnecessary. When I brought it to the attention of the leasing office, the response was "she's a smoker." Huh?! First, it's a smoke-free building. Second, what does that have to do with slamming a door? Their "solution" was to suggest I move to a new unit that will be available a month from now. (I'm still missing mail because they told me before I arrived that I'd be in a particular apartment number, so submitted a USPS forwarding order for that apartment. When I arrived, I was told "oops, that's a mistake" and I was put across from whackadoodle.) Now, a few days before Thanksgiving, they've offered me the option to move all my belongings -- again -- to a another unit in a few weeks. Why won't they just tell her to stop slamming the door? I was planning to reside in this building in a larger unit on a different floor, but I nixed that due to the staff's unresponsiveness to excessive/disruptive noise. Why would I want to live where no one cares about my right to peaceful enjoyment of my home. Renter beware!!!
