Not a good shopping area
Clean building, friendly, quiet tenants, great maintenance. Outdoor area is lovely for a little kid :)
As a resident for 2 years I wanted to give a honest review for potential tenants. This is a decent, quiet, and suburban place to live with some cons.
Renovated apartments are nice an spacious.
Safe and nice neighborhood.
Close to Upsal train station with easy access into center city.
Property manager Marlene is wonderful!
Maintenance staff is pretty good and efficient.
Close to Chestnut hill
Wood parquet flooring is really dated. needs new modern tile.
Un-renovated apartments need updating. Yellow subway tile has been out for a long time.
Depending on residents above, noise can be an issue, even though the apartment requires carpeting on 80% of flooring. 9th floor apartment would be great in this regard.
Mail can get lost occasionally. Since the building is secure, deliveries are sometimes left in some unsafe spots where everyone has access too.
Office hours end at 5. This makes it very hard for working people to pick up packages during the week. Especially since they are closed Saturdays and sundays. Most apartment complexes stay open until 6 pm during weekdays. This place needs to follow suite.
Dont park on street. I had tires slashed and others have had broken windows. Germantown neighborhood is close and they wonder down occasionally causing trouble. Still a safe area though.
I believe that only one car is allowed in the parking lot.
No washer and dryers in most units.
Window ac units needed (no central ac)
Can be costly. (2 Ac's= $300-400 to buy)
Trash truck is very loud in the morning if your on that side. Will wake you up around 7-8 am.
Can only control heat slightly. Gets really hot in winter as tenants only have partial control.
Nothing on the grounds of the property. (no amenities)
Pricey for what you get.
Nothing nearby in the neighborhood besides septa. (good for families)
Windows are drafty in the winter
