The only thing worse than management the condition of such a marvel of century old building. Management is atrocious rude, condescending, and dont care about customer service, repairs, or cleanliness. Also, grossly mismanaged and understaffed. Which is most unfortunate what a waste of a decent place in a great neighborhood. DONT move here, you'll regret it!
I have lived at Kings Manor for almost 4 years. The response time from management is great, the location is amazing if you take Regional Rail, as the train is only steps away from the door. My particular apartment location is on a corner of the building, so I never hear my neighbors except for occasionally steps of those above me. The laundry room needs more w/d units, and they have never worked particularly well over the years, but it's manageable. Overall, very pleased with my experience.
Maintenance staff are nice, but they often leave jobs half finished and do not clean up the common areas when they are done. When new carpet was installed, no one came to vacuum up the left over bits.
I have lived at king manor for over ten years. Love manger
I lived here for two years while attending graduate school up the road. I enjoyed the convenience to the train station, school, and the mini mart, however there is not much else within walking distance of the unit. I had a one bedroom apartment which was plenty spacious for one or two people, plus a cat, and the rent was a great value compared to other apartments. Any issues I had maintenance quickly took care of which was always nice. The only bill is electric, and no fees for one cat which I appreciated. The one thing I disliked was the laundry room. There are only a few washers and dryers which were fairly expensive and my clothes were never dry after one cycle. I began doing my laundry at the bakers center a few minutes away as it was much cheaper and faster. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend these apartments to local students and first time renters.
