A leasing agent has yet to get back to me.
I live in the Fairmount. The windows, the kitchen, the bathroom and the closet doors are updated. The carpet is frayed at the ends, and the ventilation system is outdated. There are limited electric outlets (no outlet in the bathroom). I haven't seen maintenance since I moved in, though I've put in a few requests. Someone I didn't know started using my address, someone that I think one of my neighbors knows. The walls are VERY thin, I can hear my neighbors' footsteps, etc, The onsite parking is nice. The Amazon hub is kinda useless, because the carriers need the office to be open to deliver to the Amazon lockers here, but the carriers usually deliver packages in the evening when the office is already closed. In the winter the parking lot and walkways are kept pretty clear. I would give this place a C+
Love the decor and set up of the places.
I have only been here a couple of months. I want to say that from the leasing department to the management the customer service has been excellent. There is no perfect place but any issues that have occurred have been resolved expeditiously.
I have lived in what is now named the Vue, for 4 years. During this time I have dealt with 3 management companies while living here and in my HONEST opinion. Kettler has been the best and most consistent if you REALLY look at it. With Classic, maintenance was great, but management was horrific with the office manager Marcy. Scully, did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because they weren't vested. Knowing they were temporary they put band-aids on EVERYTHING and fixed JUST ENOUGH for the sale. Both companies made empty promises to the residents therefore the residents didn't even notice that they were being played. Now Kettler comes along and the band-aids fall off but by now its making seem a though KETTLER is to blame for all the shortcomings. HUNDREDS of tenants have needs and wants and unfulfilled promises some as far back as Classic all the while the MAIN "BANDAGES" of the inner workings of the building have to be addressed along side the maintenance calls for individual apartments. Please understand I am not trying to make excuses i am just trying to make it clearer. People are watching the MAAAANY improvements Kettler IS making and saying their only cosmetic. I would counter by saying, they are SLOWING doing what neither of the others attempted and that is make this building (i dont know about the others) more appealing, and safe. Unfortunately you get those who only focus on the imperfections (we ALL KNOW someone like this) of YESTERDAY AND TODAY.
As for someone who is looking for a place to make home whether a student or a family, your experience is what you make it. Anywhere you look at there will be someone who can tell you to RUN and don't look back and someone who will say there is no other place you'd want to call home.
