I was shown a model that looked nothing like the actual apartment I was given. The building I was in was dirty and had rude neighbors that kept me up until 3-4am on the weekdays. Their workers are contractors so management takes no responsibility when something is replaced and they tear your place up (when they finally come) Not all buildings have elevators. People there are NASTY and constantly trash the place. When residents actually take their trash to the dumpster(as opposed to leaving their trash in the laundry room or doorways), it fills up and just sits there smelling. The laundry room was always dirty and only 1 dryer worked, and of course someone always left their clothes in it for hours. My lease was October-October which they counted as 12 months.
I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. I chose to move to the Flats at Fox Hill, based on the pictures posted on the internet. I asked someone to tour the building for me and they were shown one of the model apartments which actually looked similar to the picture posted on their website. Unfortunately, on my move in day my apartment looked nothing like either of the two models that she had been shown, or the photos on the website. I can say with confidence that if she had been shown my actual apartment that day there is no way that I would not have chosen to live at Fox Hill.
I walked into an apartment with very poorly painted white cabinets, which were originally brown (with streaks/dried dripping paint), a stainless refrigerator and dishwasher paired with a black oven (that also happened to be filthy), and a pressboard countertop. The baseboard under the sink was partially missing, the front door lock appeared to have been kicked in and painted over, and there were large spider webs in the closets, boot prints on the floor, and brown liquid in the refrigerator, all of which makes it obvious that the apartment wasn't even professionally cleaned. I wish I could include the pictures. Shortly after moving in I found that there were roaches coming up through the drains.
Due to short notice I was unable to get an apartment in my price range and had to settle for something for a little more. I was shown a model apartment, which was nicer in quality than the apartment I am renting. I was not shown any of the included amenities. Not enough washer and dryers for the amount of people per floor. I was also discouraged there were no services on the property to help people in buildings without elevators to move in. I'm on the third floor last apartment at the end of the hall. Moving in has been the worst experience
When you go apt hunting they should show you actual apt you would get. For the money they are asking i thought the space was good but laundry room was horrible and only had 2 washers and 2 dryers for too many apts. Was not shown the work out room either.
