Staff and maintenance wonderful. Residents great. However it has turned into a hotel/apartment place. Large turnover. Elevators clogged with moving in and moving out-hard for elder residents to carry groceries, etc. up the stairs. Should have a freight elevator so as not to burden residents. All concerned-well intentioned-but expected a bit more considering the price.
I wake up everyday thankful to be a resident at the Royal Worthington.
The complex is perfectly situated on the on the mainline with easy access to major roadways, 2 regional train stations, and the Chester Valley Trail. One of the stations has daily Amtrak service to NYC without having to change trains. King of Prussia Mall is about 20 minutes away. Within line-of-sight is a Target Store (with a Starbucks inside) and Wegmans (24/7). Each store is a safe walk that is well lit into the evenings.
My residence is equipped with modern appliances that still have the luster of being brand-new. Having a washer/dryer inside my unit is quite convenient. The water is hot and water-pressure is adequate. The granite countertops are an elegant touch. I also enjoy the sliding glass door that I have on the exterior wall of my residence that lets in a lot of light.
The office is staffed 7 days a week with knowledgeable, competent, and empowered individuals. Whether in person or through email, I get a timely reply with all the information I need. The leasing agents have desks in the main lobby and double as informal concierges always ready to serve up a cheerful greeting and eager to help with whatever one might need. They kindly handle all my drying cleaning pickup and deliveries. They would give any NYC doorman a run for their money.
The building is well cared for with the exterior and interior common areas both kept flawless. There is a small gym on site along with an outdoor hot tub (open year-round) and pool. On weekdays there is a complimentary continental breakfast along with coffee and tea 24/7.
Most the residents seem quite friendly. I think it has to with the fact there are a lot of dog owners and dog people tend to be happier than non-dog people! There is even a dog park right outside. But have no fear; everyone uses a leash and does a good job picking up after his or her dog.
This place is a GEM and I intend on staying for a while.
I am really enjoying my stay at the Royal Worthington and plan to renew my lease soon. I find the building is excellent quality and the management keep the place in great condition. Of specific note, I want to do a shout out to the reception staff who go above and beyond to assist.
The Royal Worthington is (by far) the best apartment community I have lived in -- and that's saying a lot since I've lived in five states! Having spent over seven months there while on a temporary work assignment, I can say with confidence that their team is world class -- from the accommodating people at the front desk (special shout out to Katelyn and Alysse who went out of their way to make me feel at home and ensure any packages I received while out of town were stored safely until I returned) to the cleaning crew (Shawn, the head of maintenance, is the most personable person you'll ever meet and he even hosts an annual holiday party for all the kids in the building funded entirely with his own money, and Inel, the lovely person who made sure I had a clean place to come home to every Friday, was so friendly and also the best cleaning person I've ever had -- she neatly stored things, my place was always spotless after her visit, and I never had any reservations about her entering my apartment) to the resident dog-walker (Kitty accommodated my unpredictable schedule and made sure my dog was walked and well cared for) to the person in charge of it all (Maryrose is the epitome of a great leader to her team and took the time to personally meet with and accommodate all guest needs no matter how quirky or time-consuming the requests were).
To those who may be hesitant about moving in due to online reviews from residents dating a couple years back, I had the same reservations. Know that those comments are from a prior management team and the current one is full of rockstars who don't disappoint! I've stayed at two other so-called "luxury apartment buildings" in the Malvern area but The Royal Worthington is the only one that can truly call itself "luxury". The community feels like family and the team always puts together fun community events (their holiday parties are exquisite!). If I ever live in PA again, I'll definitely be staying at The Royal Worthington.
