Lovely property, beautiful apartment and friendly staff. Unfortunately, it turned out to be too expensive for me personally. It was too much money to give up front, as well as an additional $30.00 per month for my pet. Recently, it seems to be a better deal to buy a house and have a less expensive mortgage than to rent an apartment.
They're not bad apartments but the rent they're asking now is ludicrise. When I lived there it was less than $600 a month for a small one-bedroom. Now they're charging as much for a one-bedroom as other places charge for a two-bedroom and the apartments are NOT that great to pay that much money. My heating bill was over $200 in winter because it was impossible to keep it warm due to the kitchen air vent/over fan that led directly outside and let all the cold air in.
Nevertheless, I was considering re-leasing another apartment--a two-bedroom this time--but when I'd be paying as much for an apartment as I would an actual mortgage, forget it. I can get a two-bedroom for half that price in other places.
I don't move in until later next month so I have no real opinion as to the apartment. The staff I have met so far has been very helpful and kind. Will give a complete review next time.
Suburban/country setting; Grassy lawns & shade trees; Helpful, friendly, professional staff in office & maintenance; Location in community; Tenants are friendly & respectful of others; Buildings and grounds are kept in excellent condition.
For the most part I've been very pleased with Pioneer Woods. Each time I have put in a work order to have something fixed, it has been prompted tended to. Unfortunately though I've had to resubmit multiple work orders for the same problem because each time it hasn't been fixed entirely.
