Clean, bright building. Parking is somewhat limited. There are no common areas and no storage available for bikes, etc.
Verde is a very nice apartment complex but I am disappointed that there is no pool or dog park available. Furthermore, the gym is not done being built. Elaine at the front office is incredibly kind and such a pleasure to work with. Where did she go?
The management is very accommodating to my needs. As an individual with a disability, the apartment is very accessible. A company (over seen by Rebecca Stimeling) holds the lease on this apartment, but I would rent here if I was able to independently. Everyone from management to my neighbors are very pleasant and friendly. I look forward to residing here for many years. I feel that since I have staff working with me on a daily basis that they should have access to parking in the residents lot - we do have a van that I utilize, but they drive their own vehicle to the job site but have to park on the street (which is difficulty at the present time due to the construction). I am looking forward to the new amenities that will be available (recreation room, exercise room, etc) that I was informed will be available once the construction is completed.
VERDE offers quite, newer apartments with full sized appliances and large, usable kitchens. Repair requests are handled quickly, management is friendly and responsive, and newer construction makes the units very energy efficient so I save on heating and cooling. The apartments are a short drive to the medical center, grocery store, and within walking distance to many restaurants.
The major downside is the high cost compared to other nearby apartment complexes. Parking in the lot can be limited if coming back to the apartment late, but there is always something available close. For me, the quiet, large kitchen, and new feel are worth the extra expense.
I love my apartment - the finishes are beautiful and walls/windows create a quiet environment. I never hear my neighbors or traffic. Communication with the leasing office is easy and Elaine is very nice and always helpful. I really like that trash and recycling are located inside on each floor for residents!
My only complaints are the lack of cleaning in common areas: hallways, stairs, elevators. The carpet in the hallways and stairs is stained and the elevator floor doesn't seem to be cleaned.
I also dislike that cats must be declawed. It's an inhumane process that I don't agree with and is discouraged by animal healthcare professionals. The reasoning has been explained to me, but this is the only apartment I've ever lived in that has this restriction and it seems bad for animal health and unnecessary considering the pet and security deposit.
Other than that, I'm satisfied as a resident.
