Gannon University, PA

Erie, Pennsylvania, is the site of student living for the undergraduate and graduate students who enroll at Gannon University. As Pennsylvania’s fourth-largest city, Erie offers students much in the way of entertainment, culture and nightlife when they decide to find student housing in the city. The Erie Art Museum, Warner Theater and Bicentennial Tower represent just a small sample of the the city’s cultural attributes. The city of more than 100,000 residents has embraced Gannon University, which has been part of the community in northwestern Pennsylvania since 1925.

Today, about 3,000 undergraduates and 1,250 graduate students enroll at Gannon University to pursue an associates, bachelors, masters or doctoral degree, or several certificates. The undergraduate program is unique with its signature Core of Discovery and Lifecore programs, which fuse the academic and co-curricular experiences. Core of Discover is the school’s liberal arts core curriculum, while Lifecore encourages students to participate in events and activities that help develop the values they have learned in class. In part for these notable programs, Gannon University was named among the U.S. News & World Report’s “Top Up-and-Coming Schools” in 2010.

While the city of Erie supports a variety of tastes and lifestyles, off campus housing in particular areas can make the student living experience more convenient and fulfilling. A Gannon University apartment can be found near the banks of Lake Erie, around attractions such as Liberty Park and the Warner Theater.
