Delaware Valley College makes the rural town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, the site of student living for about 2,000 students who participate in one of the school’s diverse programs. Student housing is available on the school’s impeccably landscaped campus, as well throughout the community amid the area’s distinctive rolling green hills. In this location, Delaware Valley College - known locally as DelVal - has provided an intimate setting for student living and learning since it was founded in 1896. In 2011, the college opened its Gemmill Campus in Jamison, Pennsylvania, opening student housing and learning opportunities to a greater number of young scholars in the region.
Currently, DelVal is composed of about 1,700 full-time undergraduate students and about 300 students in the school’s evening college, weekend college and graduate program. The variety of learning opportunities attracts students from all different backgrounds, and makes a college apartment appealing for a wide range of demographics. Undergraduate students, who study any of the college’s 25 majors, are also required to complete an employment program by working 500 hours in an area related to their major. This community involvement gives students another reason to rent off campus housing as they balance life on campus with work in the Doylestown area.
The stretches of off campus housing are defined by the small charms of the community. A college apartment near campus puts students near landmarks like the Lower State Roads Farmers Market, Duck Deli and Central Park.
