The apartments are great for students. There's very little to no noise during any time of the day which caters to studying. Coming home after a long stressful day is really nice when the units feel like an actual home.
I would not recomend Stone Hill apartments to anyone. I have lived here for close to 6 months, and I am very unhappy. To start off, my apartment was not cleaned and wreaked of dog urine. The office staff sent a carpet cleaning company to clean the carpets, but the carpet still stinks now that the scented spray wore off, but since I moved my furniture in it was more trouble to request new carpet. There also was dog hair caked into the rug along the molding. It was also painted onto the paint on the wall and molding. Not to mention, the filthy kitchen floor I had to scrub on my hands and knees to get clean. There also is the issue that there is ALWAYS a problem with the washer which NEVER gets repaired properly. Which makes it nearly impossible to wash ones clothes during the allowed time period (7am to 10pm), especially if you work and people take forever to get their clothes out of the working washer or dryer. There also is zero privacy because the doors to the hallway offer absolutely no sound barrier. People in the hallway can hear everything in other apartments. The buildings near the office are well kept, but the buildings in the back are a dump. You can smell what other people cook, as well as their smoking in your apartment. Lastly, do not plan on using the pool, that is unless you pay $50 to do so. Their reason is it will keep non tennants from using the pool, but I suspect it is just a way to get more money. Needless to say, I can't wait for my lease to be up.
