We live in the Grove and love it here. Our apartment is spacious and the area is convenient. Maintenance is excellent and the staff is always responsive. Some neighbors neglect some ordinances such as leaving trash at the outside door. This is unfortunate as the Grove is lovely with magnolia trees and other beautiful shrubs. I would recommend this place to call "home"
Just moved in and I love it here!
STAY AWAY!!! Do not be lured in by the great introductory specials. The apartments may look nice and the old reviews do not represent the current conditions. Korman sold the property and the new owners are awful. We've lived here for 5 years and are moving to a different complex to escape the rude staff, slower than snail maintenance, ridiculous electric bills (your paying your electric + community electric), and ridiculously high renewal rates. You are also tied to Comcast forever. You will get a great deal for 1st year of service....but you'll be at over $200/month in no time. Try to threaten to switch providers and you will get no where because Comcast knows they have an exclusive with The Grand and you can't switch. Go somewhere else....any apartment complex is better than here.
This complex is quickly declining. The garbage doesn't get picked up like it use to, all the snow we had they won't put down any salt, they don't shovel until the snow stops and they just don't maintain the premises like the previous owners. They take forever to get back to you with maintenance. PLEASE DONT pay for the upgrades.. they are really cheap. The electricty company is another failure.
Moved in and apartment was supposed to be ready but it required a lot of repairs. There was a large hole in the bedroom door. The unit was not painted. The bathroom was not cleaned, toilet seat broken, washer and dryer were also not cleaned and contained old lint. Holes in the wall were not plastered and the carpet was not replaced from last resident who had a pet. THE URINE SMELL WAS HORRIBLE IN THE SUMMER. POWER OUTAGES AT LEAST 4 TIMES A MONTH AND THE ELECTRIC BILL WAS OVER $400. Upon leaving I cleaned and had the apartment serviced, including the carpet. Management decided to charge me OVER $900 for new carpet AFTER DENYING ME NEW CARPET DURING MY STAY.
I would not reccomend moving here. The bugs come in from everywhere all times of the year and they do not adjust rent for not having electric multiple times per month, losing food in the refrigerator, having to stay somewhere else, etc.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
