The Art Institute of Philadelphia is one of the 49 affiliated Art Institutes located in major cities across North America. This network and the Philadelphia school in particular offer a wide variety of degrees in art programs and a student living environment that fosters artistic growth and collaboration. Located at 1622 Chestunut Street and in a scattering of buildings throughout Center City, the school makes renting a college apartment an attractive option. In 2010, the institution enrolled more than 3,500 students, about 60 percent of whom opted to reside in off campus housing.

Those in student housing at the Art Institute of Philadelphia may work toward a diploma, associates degree or bachelors degree, though more than 70 percent of students enroll in a bachelor-level program. The school’s curriculum is design to provide a balanced education, providing instruction in applied arts technology and techniques, as well as general education and business practices related to the arts. Some of the schools most popular degree programs include Photography, Visual Effects & Motion, Culinary Management, Fashion Design and Graphic Design.

Student living at the Art Institute of Philadelphia is supported by off campus housing in Rittenhouse Square area.
