Troutdale, OR

Known as the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge, the Portland-area city of Troutdale has a rich history and cultural background that makes renting an apartment there a unique experience.

Local apartment renters are immediately reminded of their town's significance to the Portland area by the town's magnificent centennial arch, a large structure which stretches across the Historic Columbia River Highway and reads "Troutdale - Gateway to the Gorge." Troutdale is also considered the starting point of the Mount Hood Scenic Byway, a nationally renowned stretch of road that covers 150 miles and includes dozens of points of interest and boundless acres of Northwest scenery. Additionally, the Columbia River Gorge is a popular recreational site that draws Troutdale apartment residents looking to get in touch with nature.

However, there are also a number of attractions in Troutdale itself that keeps local apartment residents entertained and amused. Each July, the city hosts SummerFest, which features an annual parade down the Historic Columbia River Highway, live music and stage shows, exhibitions from local artists and enough food and activities to keep Troutdale apartment renters busy for hours. Additionally, Troutdale businesses host exhibitions of the works of dozens of local artists in an event apartment residents know as the First Friday Art Walks.

Troutdale's rich and colorful history traces back as early as 1792, and apartment residents there have a number of attractions, sights and sounds that help them revel in their region's history all year round.
