What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Tigard

I live where I work, so commuting is really easy, I walk. There are useful businesses nearby, a Wlgreen's, a gas station, a 7-11, and a bunch of dining options nearby.

We are close to schools and to shopping . We are a friendly neighborhood. I can trust our neighbors. We watch out for each other. Safeway is close for grocery shopping. We are within 5 miles of good restaurants and various types of retail stores

that its close to public transportation and there are grocery stores nearby within bus distance or walking

There's a park within walking distance that I walk my dog in 3x/day. Usually go the the movies, out to dinner or just go for walks.

My favorite thing about my neighborhood is that my neighbors all help each other. Also, there is not a lot of car traffic going through..

It's on a mountain for great views, residences only, no commercial for low traffic. It's an easy drive to local business, but does not attract people to the neighborhood.

All About

Living in Tigard, OR

Apartment residents in the community of Tigard - located south of Portland - have no shortage of celebrations and events to keep them entertained and amused throughout the year.

Since 1961, local apartment residents have celebrated their families in style with the Tigard Family Fest. The event takes place over a number of weekends, and kicks off with a parade and a massive assembly at Cook Park for free barbecue and ice cream. Additionally, local bands and church choirs entertain the crowd throughout the day until a fireworks display caps off the evening. Later in Family Fest, local apartment residents can research their family genealogy at events held at the Tigard Library, while local children can learn about familial traditions from around the world. The event finishes with the annual 5K Run/Walk, which starts at Tigard City Hall and is open to apartment residents of all ages.

Tigard is also renowned among the region and local apartment residents for its famous Festival of Balloons, where dozens of hot air balloons lift off from Cook Park is a mesmerizing display. The popular event also includes live music, food, carnival rides and a beer garden, where older Tigard apartment residents can sample a cold glass of brew or wine. On top of that, eager apartment residents can take to the skies themselves, as a local helicopter service offers quick flights over Tigard and around Washington County - an incredible way to see the sights.
