I have lived here for the last 5 years, and hopefully won't be living here for much longer. While the former management was here may not have been the best, they were at least very friendly with us and worked with us when times were hard. The new management (Avenue 5, avoid at all costs) is alienating all of their current residents, and trying to advertise the apartments as "luxury." I can tell you right now that there is not much luxury about these apartments. You have a dishwasher, laundry plugins (no machines included), a basketball/tennis court (which the managers have apparently sent a hostile email about using to exercise your dog? I never saw the email but I heard about it through the grapevine. so our only other option is to let the dog play in traffic, okay!). There's a place in Eugene that is about the price you pay for this place that has all of this plus a pool and hot tub. The manager is absolutely cold towards everyone she meets, unless of course you're going to pay the ridiculous amount she wants you to pay in rent. Parking is nigh impossible to find unless you are fortunate enough to be able to afford a driveway with your apartment. Occasionally they'll have "events" but honestly given how the staff acts toward people the remainder of the time I don't honestly see how anybody is going to want to attend those things.
The 1-star rating on this place is well deserved. It used to be a nice place, but now it is absolutely not worth your time or money to come here and live. The people running the place are only interested in what THEY can get out of it, more than they're interested in what they can do for you. I would avoid this place at all costs if you're looking. You can do way better for the money they want.
Please read and consider all reviews before moving in. The new company (Avenue 5) is worse than the last. They are working on raising all rent to market value no matter how long someone has lived here. You can guarantee to pay too dollar every year you live here. Some people are told that there are only 6 month leases available so they can raise your rent twice in a year. New policies that are being implemented do not benefit the tenant but the owners. The building is turning into a college friendly and not family and pet friendly environment. The parking has always been horrible and is now getting worse. The maintenance department makes it very difficult to get things fixed on a timely basis. The management is very inconsistent. Not worth the price they want to live here.
they never responded to my request.
