Positives: Location, views, landscaping! Negatives: Undergoing major construction/repairs; unprofessional management. Our building was first to undergo extensive repairs; lasted 7 mo; extremely disruptive; plastic covered windows; plywood covered sliding glass doors; no access to deck; deck removed & replaced; scaffolding outside windows & deck for 7 mo; privacy & peaceful setting gone; siding on outside of buildings being replaced; extensive dry rot requiring replacement of major support beams & floor joists. Each unit had ceiling, wall & floor cut open to replace support beams & floor joists. (For brief time they worked INSIDE our apartment, we were given option to stay in model unit.) Ram rod used to force beams into place, shaking building so hard artwork fell off walls & items fell off shelves inside closets; noise so loud phone conversation impossible; workers use tenants electricity to power tools, tripping circuits repeatedly. First three letters of communication to management (written with utmost respect and integrity) entirely unacknowledged until resent in email including the executive secretary. Management initially planned to reimburse tenants one month's rent & $30 toward one utility bill. Repairs were necessary. Manner in which management handled it lacked integrity & professionalism. We were told we "need to understand business." We took photos, kept daily journal, sought legal advise, wrote to owner & top executives, several other tenants in building did same which eventually resulted in compensation to tenants of two months rent & reimbursement of one utility bill. Remaining work estimated to take three or four months PER BUILDING, rather than 7 months our building took. Top level & end units experienced less disruption than those in middle of building. Middle units impacted by the work below, above & on both sides. See Google review for more & photo for photo examples. Car break-ins common; bike stolen; construction on weekends.
The Property management has been treating the numerous complains on water damage under the master bedroom sink like as though the issue does not exist. This is frustrating and upsetting but they yell at me when i complain and any form of complain is retaliated. getting this fixed is always a drama with the office at this property
