Named after Elizabeth Irving who traveled the Oregon Trail with her family in 1851, the historic Irvington district contains the largest intact collections of Queen Anne, Arts and Crafts, Colonial Revival, and Period Revival homes in Portland and the state. Many of these were designed by prominent local architects of the early 20th century. At the corner of NE 15th and Hancock Streets lies The Irvington Garden Apartments.     This place is filled with smokers. The smell would drift in during the day if you had your windows open (which was necessary cause complex has no AC). I survived but wouldn't recommend anyone who doesn't like cigarettes.

    It looks beautiful on line but I have yet to see it in person I'm coming from Erie, Pa. so I'll let you know when I move in.
