Looked like a great place from the outside, but we never got a chance to go in. I was coming from Canada to check this place out, made an appt. to view an appt. on Fri. March 6th, and when we got there, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed that day until 2 p.m.! No one called to inform us. I left a VM asking what was going on, and to this date, no one has tried to contact me. Guess they aren't interested in having new tenants? Hope they don't treat their current tenants the same way!
It's a nice place but the rent is so high. And parking is really bad there.
Nice apartments, but horrible location, so I passed. The complex is right next to NE 148th St, but there's no access to it. Residents have to drive about 2 miles through a neighborhood of 20 to 25 mph streets to get to NE 122nd Ave or NE Sandy Blvd. The nail in the coffin was the limit of one (ONE!) parking spot per apartment. In a place that's totally car-dependent, in a city where more than one person in a household has to work, that's totally inadequate. Any additional vehicles must be parked on the street out in the neighborhood, and the neighbors are quick to report anyone parking too close to a driveway, mailbox, or fire hydrant. Cars have been ticketed and towed. Additionally, some of the units are about twenty feet from a row of homes, so you get to see what your neighbors are up to (and they see you!).
Good spot but not quite what we were looking for
This place is a pain in the neck. The apartments themselves are pretty nice, BUT . . . there's a main thoroughfare right next to the property, but there's no access to it. You have to drive 4 miles through a neighborhood with 20/25 mph speed limits in order to get out of the neighborhood. The rent is so high that you'll need roommates to afford it, but parking on the property is restricted to one space per apartment. Somebody is going to have to park out in the neighborhood, and I've heard that the residents there are pretty quick to report you to parking enforcement if you park in front of their driveways, mailboxes, or fire hydrants. I've been told about a lot of tickets on cars. Renter beware!
