The residents play loud music pass 3:00 a.m, the water is constantly being turned off without notice, the laundry mat is filthy with used clothes and trash everywhere. People leave beer and liquor bottles in the parkinglot. Residents leave broken down vehicles in the parkinglot for months at a time.The new owners should check on the property.
My husband and I lived at crosswinds until we bought our first home. The entire staff was professional.our neighbors were friendly. We loved living here. It's an older community but the price is just right for city living.
Improvements are slowly happening and we appreciate being involved. The resident events are fun.
I have lived in these apartments for less than three months. A week and a half ago, a terrible flash flood storm came through and flooded my apartment, ruining my computer charger, phone charger, countless books that were on the floor (I've still been situating everything because I work two jobs).
The emergency maintenance man is the only person has communicated with me effectively. The smell from the flood alone made the apartment unliveable, so I was displaced and had to stay with a friend 20 miles away. I have left two voicemails on Monday, never received a call back. I went in Wednesday, they acted completely unaware of the situation. The woman upfront left a written message for the apartment manager to call me back regarding a rent discount. She never called me, despite being told the carpet would be cleaned and ready on the 31st. I was promised it would be done today, the 1st of September. It has not. I called and actually got through to the apartment manager, Sally. She refused a discount, despite being out $150 for personal belongings and extra commute costs.
I understand they do not have to reimburse me for personal belongings damaged, but I have been out of a home for eight days now and will likely be displaced through the holiday weekend, adding another three to four days.
I chose this apartment for the cheaper price, despite not having central heat/air and lying about laundry facilities. I have spoken to other neighbors who have told me plumbing and flooding issues are a very regular occurance. If you are looking for a place to live with ease, this is NOT it. My sink has regularly backed up into the dishwasher multiple times, despite never having turned the dishwasher on. The communication of the office staff is a zero out of five stars. The ONLY positive aspect of this apartment is the quick response and courteous attitude of the emergency maintenance man.
Spend the extra money on a complex that treats you like a valued tenant.
I was not able to get my DirecTV service continued and should have been told this prior to signing my lease. I was without TV for two weeks waiting on Cox Cable.
