Located in the heart of Oklahoma City is the Oklahoma University Health Science Center (OUHSC), one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the country with seven professional colleges to call its own. The school was founded in 1890 by the Oklahoma Territorial Legislature - originally located in the city of Norman, OUHSC moved to its current location and became a four year program in 1910.
Students enrolled in the school's program can enjoy a number of amenities, including access to two patient care towers, two hospitals and the Oklahoma University Medical Center. OUHSC offers a vast array of degrees that one can earn, including PhDs in audiology, nursing and speech-language pathology. A number of other programs are also available, such as nutritional sciences and physical therapy.
