Great location and the unit upgrades are nice for the price you pay. Staff is friendly and have assisted with any needs presented. One flaw is there is not covered parking.
I would put 0 stars but it doesn't let me... so DON'T LEASE HERE!!! I moved to Post Oak on August 2015, payed every single rent on time, sometimes even in advance of a few days. When I moved out in May 15th, everything was working well, no damages or anything to the property. When I moved in I payed a $500 security deposit since I was an international student with no credit history. On May 16th 2017, I went to the main office to give back the keys and tell the employees I was moving out and the apartment was empty. I asked when I would get my security deposit back, they said it would take a month approximately. Then, I called after a month and they told me it was one month after my lease was over, which was May 31st. Called back on the first days of June and nothing, they said it can take more time. On July 1st I received a final statement through my email in which they applied some cleaning and maintenance fees to my deposit and they owe me $330. After that, nothing else came. I have called several times, speak even with the manager (Amy) and they don't seem to be worried about solving the problem or anything. I've called almost every week since the last days of July, and they said the check was issued but it never came. I've verified my address and phone number at least a dozen times. Also, they never call you back. They always say, let me look at this, contact our Corporate Office in Denver, and we'll call you back. Well, wait while comfortably seated because they are NEVER going to call you back. Furthermore, they are going to say they called you and informed you using the calls you made them. So, they will say they communicated with you to inform you when in fact you are the person who has to call every single time. Today, August 31st, I still haven't got anything back from them, not even a single call. And they say it's not their fault. So I guess it's mine because I can't control the check mailing with my mind (?). My advice is DON'T LEASE HERE!!! GO SOMEWHE
I rented from Post Oak 2012-2013 while i was temporarily relocated to Oklahoma through my company. Months after I moved in I was relocated to Missouri by my company so i found a new tenant, signed a transfer of lease agreement and my company paid all fees to get out of my lease due to the relocation. In March of 2017, my credit report reported negative information and upon review it was for $189 reported by a debt collector on behalf of Post Oak. I never owed the money and have documentation signed by Post Oak as evidence. I contacted Post Oak, provided them the records (because they no longer had them) and requested it be resolved. Stephanie from the front office said she reviewed with her local manager and it was sent to the district manger so district manager could send a letter to the debt collector to get it resolved, and to date I have not received notice that they have sent the letter. Luckily I am an attorney in Missouri and can hire a lawyer to take legal action. I highly recommend you rent from another company unless you have funds to hire an attorney and take legal action to address post oaks false claims for money owed.
The staff and maintenance are awesome, they respond right away to anything that needs to be fixed or worked out. They are also very nice too. It's very clean and very quiet. Overall a great place to live!
For the most part it has been a good experience, however some areas in need of attention are:
breezeways are not cleaned very well, some entryways are in very bad condition (ie Apt 827); fitness equipment is not cleaned very often but otherwise acceptable area to work out; pool in front area needs some attention (missing tiles). Grounds are kept up well.
