1201 is a great place to live. It's quiet, safe and clean. All of the residents here are very pleasant as well as all of the staff. The managers and maintenance staff will all go out of their way to help you with whatever you need and always seem to be in good spirits. 1201 is also very pet friendly which is perfect for me since I have a dog. Overall I've had a great leading experience and am planning on renuing my lease when the time comes.
We enjoy our living arrangement here and, when we find things that need to be attended to or changed and we bring them to management attention, they listen and do something to make our living here even better.
Worst apartment complex. We had mold and flooding issues that we addressed for months! To the point where we had to move everything out of both bedrooms management is a joke.
The apartments are nice, not gonna lie. 1 bedrooms are spacious for one person. However, the new management is unprofessional and will make your stay a NIGHTMARE. Previous management, for the 3 years I have been here, would make sure that the apartment was the "luxury community" 1201 claims to be.
New management does not take care of landscape, does not regularly change air vents, does not regularly schedule bug spraying, does not empty out the dog waste bin even when they are overflowing, does not enforce policies such as letting dog feces take over the front and back lawns, letting residents smoke cigarettes, or following up with noise complaints. For half a year I have been dealing with noisy upstairs and next door neighbors, and incessant dog barking from all areas.
Rent is very expensive and only increases every time you renew. So if you get a good rate when you sign up and plan to stay for more than a year, reconsider. For a one bedroom I am paying a grand a month. Management also tries to get every penny from you. Several neighbors and myself randomly received a fine because our plants on the patio were not "alive" halfway through the winter. Perennials dry in the winter and then come back in the spring....
Also, management has cut off water and electricity randomly for hours at a time with no notice to residence. I have come home after work and not been able to do dishes or take a shower.
If all you care about is a good location and a nice living space, this is the place for you. But if you want to be proud of where you live, I would not recommend.
I highly recommend, shopping,grocery and drug store close. Excellent maintenance and management. My reason for moving was financial only. The grounds are kept up beautifully. I feel fortunate to have lived at 1201 Covell!
