Let me preface this with stating they are under new management now, so well see if anything changes. However, in the 7 months we have lived here, I have had my car mistakenly towed which resulted in me calling the police because I thought my car was stolen. The towing company did not check my car in first, though I had a sticker in my window, and as as a result my car was towed around 6:30 in the morning. The only thing the property manager did was allegedly follow-up with the towing company and apologize which does nothing for the amount of time spent off work and wasting police officer time on the situation. Secondly, somehow they mixed up addresses of people who moved out with ours, thus resulting in NEP also thinking we moved out on 6/15. I figured this out when I attempted to pay my bill on time, but a negative balance showed up. Fast forward a few calls later to NEP and they say they owe us money, but then I receive a call today stating we actually owe them money. Now I cant pay my bill today because its a whole mess that this place royally screwed up. We are likely moving out due to all this, and the only reason Im giving them 2 stars is because it is a fairly nice townhome for a good price. Other than that, living here has been a nightmare along with the frequent pest inspections they do at inconvenient times. I will tell you that if youre thinking of moving here, just dont. No reason to waste money on a place where youre a good tenant, but they cant do the same for you in return by being good property managers.
This place sucks. We have complained about issues within our house that need fixed an nothing is ever done. The rent is always increased at the sigining of a new lease and I am confused as to why because they definitely don't do any up keep on the apartments so somebody must be pockecting the extra money charged. If I were you I would look someplace else to live that has safe and comfortable conditions. I would give this place zero stars
Save your money. After your lease is up you can expect.the rent to be raised anywhere from $100-$150 when signing a lease. Has been that way for ever! I could go on about when people move out then you have roaches run over to you apt. Mold in the basement. Had a inspector come in when the new company was purchasing it and she looked right at the mold all over the wall and not a single thing done. If they want in to access your apt you always get a notice and in the notice they threaten with fines if they can not get in.? Really . Maybe we should start fining them for everything they don't do. It's funny because so many apts are empty. They are working on apts now that are vacant and they don't care when they come into a apt during the week day at 6am and start pounding and bang. Really? Trash at the dumpsters are always over flowing
And if they find something outside of the dumpster with your name.on it they will fine you but the maintenance people take trash out of empty apts and throw it all over the ground between the dumpster.
Pros: The amount of space for the money. That's it!
Cons: They behave as though you should be thankful you are allowed to live there instead of them valuing their tenants. The maintenance crews idea of fixing things only includes duct tape, caulking and WD40. Nothing is ever really repaired. Windows and doors do not shut or seal properly, cabinets and countertops are warped and disgusting. Trim, cabinets and even flooring have paint all over them. The garbage is always overflowing. Garbage will literally sit around for weeks. (I have time stamped pics to prove it.). Office staff are rude and difficult to work with. Ants all the time!!!
New policy allows a trolling for business company, COMPLETE TOWING and RECOVERY, to tow at will. While driving through a small section of the complex I counted 52 tow notices. One car received a tow notice for having a broken passenger window (it takes anywhere from 2-3 business days to just file a claim and get the repair done!) It's crazy!
Unless you just are dying for space I would keep looking.
It has been the worst to live here. So many unattended children cause property damage and litter. Basement has flooded any time it rains heavy. No window or door is properly sealed so there are so many ants and other bugs that come in.
Management is very unhelpful, especially Joel in the front office. Do not expect them to help you get anything fixed.
Please keep looking, there are much better places for less money.
