Don't move there, the incompetence knows no bounds. They're renovating units to look amazing but are built on terrible old bones. We moved into a unit that had been updated but soon, cracks appeared in the walls and the stucco ceiling began to peel. Maintenance is fast to respond but slow to fix anything (if at all), even the maintenance guys say the ownership is terrible and cheap, and if anything breaks and is replaced, it'll be replaced with the cheapest possible materials (or used from another unit). When the sliding glass doors break, they are replaced with doors that can't be locked from the outside.
The walls are paper thin so if your neighbors are listening to loud music, so are you. If they have kids, you'll think they're in the room with you because you can hear every word if someone's speaking louder than normal. Same goes for all the construction happening, and there's a lot. Insulation probably exists but you wouldn't know it. Upstairs rooms are several degrees colder than downstairs and the walk-in closet is either freezing or boiling thanks to the uninsulated attic access panel. We had to replace our own weather stripping on all the doors, we could see light through closed the front door. Management's VM box is always full and they never email or call back.
Having been a resident for several years, I have seen this place under different management and my fair share of staff changes along the way so I can personally say that I understand where others are coming from. I will be honest I had some concerns when this place went under new management again and found out renovations were going to occur as I wasn't really sure what it meant for myself and my family; however I have been pleasantly surprised with how the community has improved as a whole and all the changes that have been made in such a short amount of time. The previous management company let this place fall apart and left my HVAC system (among other things) in poor shape which meant during the hot summer I was one of those residents who were waiting for relief but I was patient and my issues were resolved and we haven't experienced anything to that extreme that since. Just recently we experienced our heat going out this winter and maintenance was incredibly fast in response and my apartment was back to normal within the same day which is an amazing improvement in my opinion from previous management/maintenance.
In regards to the renovations, the exterior alone is a complete face lift to what it once was. It feels like we live in a whole different community in comparison to what it used to look like. With renovations and new management there is always going to be some hiccups along the way and I can say there's been a few here and there but I've found the maintenance team to be fast when it comes to work orders and the office staff to be friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to work with me in regards to issues and discrepancies. I could've done without some of the construction headaches in the beginning of the year (nails left behind, noise, and debris) but the majority of that has nothing to do with my experience with the staff and team as a whole, so I'm not going to deduct points for things out of their control. Overall, I'm very happy!!
Worst place ever do not move here they change your contract mid lease and don't give you any notice. They don't have a running pool or gym. The club house is open 9am-6pm so if you have a job don't plan on visiting there either.
Horrible!! This place used to be Polaris Pointe, and we had lived here for three years with no trouble!
Now it's Vanguard, the company decided the entire complex needed an update, is kicking out lease renewers to different u it's and jacking the rent by several hundred dollars.
Our lease ends in October, and we are NOT staying! Our air conditioner is broken and they are taking a few days to fix it, they are not planning to open the swimming pool until July because the fitness center is being renovated. The entire place is a construction site with giant staples and nails strewn over the parking lots (where my kids play.)
At first I was very excited when a new owner took over the complex. The new staff was very kind and willing to share all their exciting plans for making the complex better. When they first starting accepting mantaince calls they were very prompt and helpful but this has recently changed. From the outside it appears that they are making many updates but this is not entirely true. They said they were going to replace the windows, but it wasn't until after being asked for weeks to make sure my furniture was at least 4 feet from the window that I finally received new windows. I was excited about this until ants flooded out from underneath one downstairs windows. After they finished I was left to enjoy my new windows but also the new view I now get from underneath the window sills where I can perfectly view the out of doors and feel the warm air rushing in. This will be great this summer as the air conditioning flows into the outdoors. I also then collected multiple pieces of hard plastics that were left every where including on my bed and removed them so I wouldn't be hurt by them. Finally, because the apartment complex is so kind, they removed the plastic blinds above the windows and even though they claimed they would be replaces the same day, they did not. We all forget and I understand but when I called the office to ask for them to be put back up because I do not feel safe with my house open for everyone to see all night they informed me that no one would be able to hang them for 4 days. That's 4 days of having my house open all day and night for everyone to see.
Although I do feel they are trying it seems to only be half-assed. Also, don't count on the pool being open this summer because it's on week 2 out of 10 of renovations. And having experienced their work ethic here I'm not really sure they can keep on schedule.
