We loved visting the Vanguard! The staff was so patient and helpful. Even walked us through every space option in the snowy cold! I can't wait to live here!
We are pleased with this community. It is nice to be in a quiet setting but within close proximity to work and shopping. It is also within the Worthington School district which was ideal for us.
Just relocated here recently from out of town and the staff has been nothing but incredibly helpful in making this a smooth move for us. They were great at communicating with me throughout the process and showed me what was coming available for my timeframe. We just recently moved in and have been nothing but happy with our new townhome! We went to a few other locations that were similar but were really impressed by the renovations done here and the specials, which was the icing on the cake when it came to our decision. Additionally, we've found that any maintenance issue that has been reported has been handled in a timely manner and the staff is always there to help! We're excited to be residents here and can't thank the staff enough for making it so easy for us!
transferring to a renovated unit and got to notice few things in the last minute. whoever moving to a renovated unit make sure to check the unit else you will have some last minute surprises like i had.
The new renovations are very nice. Almost all surface fixtures (save the bath tub/shower units) are brand new, including all cabinets (not the medicine cabinets, but thats minor,) real granite countertops, the wood-burning fireplace fixtures, lighting, new wood-style flooring, etc.
The management company hired a great interior designer to give the units a sleek facelift, and Im very pleased with how modern everything looks.
Also, the staff is super friendly, and is very quick to respond to any maintenance requests.
The club house is very nice, and they serve free Starbucks k-cup coffee! (They open at 9 though, so I too bad I cant grab a cup on my way to work. But still a very nice feature!)
The gym is super well-equipped, with rowing machine that uses real water, stair machines that look like mini escalators, various weight machines, mirrored ceiling, and a separate room where kids can play while the parent works out.
The rent rate is superb for the square footage AND you get an attached garage.
I love the mud room. As an apartment dweller, I really appreciate this storage space.
The apartment buildings were built in the 80s, so the base skeleton and the internal systems are old. Management can very quickly solve any ant problems.
While the renovations are very nice, it seems like they are banging out the renovated units as quickly as possible so they can be filled up ASAP to start making money again after spending a lot in modernizing, so the workmanship is shoddy.
Some switches didnt work or could not be turned off, some outlets didnt work, leaky plumbing.
When you move in, they give you a list you can fill out within 3 days, and the maintenance crew will fix them all within a few days, so if you do move in, be critical and list everything.
One of the main maintenance crew will give you sass if you have a lot of maintenance, so I became quite handy myself, which I guess is a positive :)
