University of Northwestern Ohio, OH

In 1920, the University of Northwestern Ohio became the first institution on higher learning in the city of Lima, Ohio. More than 90 years later, the school continues to set the benchmarks for academics in the area, and to entice young learners to further their education from University of Northwestern Ohio student housing. Within the past decade, the university became the first school with an accelerated baccalaureate degree program in Lima, the first in the city with a Microsoft IT Academy and the first with a Specialized Studies Degree in northwest Ohio. Most recently, the school enhanced the attraction to off campus housing by launching the UNOH online MBA program in 2011. Attracted by many of these advancements, about 4,500 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled at the school, many of them scattered throughout Lima, Ohio in a university apartment.

The academic profile of a UNOH student runs the gamut of interests and desired professions, exemplified by the schools five colleges: Business, Applied Technologies, Health Professions, Occupational Professions and Graduate Studies. Sixty different programs - from Business and Medical to HVAC and Agricultural - maintain a level of diversity among those in student housing. In addition, students who attend the University of Northwestern Ohio come from all 50 states and 16 countries around the world.
