Arbor Glen Senior Apartments

My husband and I are both in our 80's and want an adult apartment complex. Arbor Glen is perfect - close to DaVita dialysis center, the library, Cleveland Clinic doctors, grocers, drugs stores, restaurants, etc. We also liked the pool and other amenities. We would be interested in paying a holding fee for whenever a two bedroom, two bathroom, first floor unit comes on the market. We are available to move in whenever one becomes available; we live in Twinsburg Township and wish to remain in the area.

Sept 2015 Our lease clearly stated there would be absolutely no cigarette smoking of any kind in units designated NON-SMOKING ON THE EXTERIOR APARTMENT DOORS. That has definitely CHANGED OVER THE YEARS AND THE CORPORATE MANAGEMENT TEAM ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT cigarette smoking in the NEW TRADITIONS APARTMENT BUILDING. WHICH IS TOTALLY NOT ALLOWED. OUR MAIN QUESTION WHY ARE THE RESIDENTS IN THE NEWER BUILDING NOT ALLOWED TO SMOKE IN THE BUILDING. THIS RULE TOTALLY VOID AND NO LONGER EFFECTIVE IN THE OLDER BUILDINGS. WE SHOULD RECEIVE THE SAME CARE AS THE RESIDENTS IN THE NEWER BUILDING THERE ARE multiple residents in A VARITETY OF BUILDING who smokes such a LARGE NUMBER OF CIGARETTES DAILY CAUSING THE CIGARETTE SMOKE ORDOR TO FILTER OUT INTO THE HALLWAYS. THIS IS DEFINITELY A VERY FOUL ODOR WHICH PENTRATES THROUGH WALLS AND DEFINIETLY STAYS IN THE CARPETING CAUSING AND ON-GOING FOUL ODOR. WE JUST DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THE PROPERY OWNERS WOULD CONTINUE AND KNOWING ALLOW THIS. WHICH DEFINETLY INCREASES THEIR OUT-OF-POCKET EXSPENSE TO POSSIBLY TRY TO GET RID THE ODOR. RESEARCH DOES SHOW THAT PARTICLES FROM SECONDHAND TOBACCO SMOKE CAN SETTLE IN DUST AND ON SURFACES AND REMAIN THERE LONG AFTER THE SMOKE IS GONE. CIGARETTE SMOKE ALSO RELEASE CARBON MONOXIDE INTO THE AIR. WHICH WILL AFFECT ANYONES HEALTH IN A LONG RUN. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY DOES CLEARLY STATES WHEN PEOPLE WHO DON'T SMOKE CIGARETTES OR MARIJUANA ARE EXPOSED TO SHS (SECONDHAND SMOKE) ITS CALLED INVOLUNTARY SMOKING OR PASSIVE SMOKING. WHEN YOU BREATHE IN SHS, YOU TAKE IN NICOTINE AND TOXIC CHEMICALS THE SAME AS PEOPLE WHO SMOKE. THE MORE SHS YOU BREATHE, THE HIGHER THE LEVELS OF THESE HARMFUL CHEMICALS INTO OUR BODIES. SECONDHAND SMOKE IS KNOW TO CAUSE LUNG CANCER. WE GUEST THE MAIN QUESTION WHY ARENT ALL RESIDENTS AT ARBOR GLEN ALLOWED THE SAME OPTION TO LIVE IN A CIGARETTE & MARIJUANA SMOKE FREE CLEAN AIR ENVIROMENT. NEW RESIDENTS HAVE NO IDEA OF THIS ON-GOING CHALLENGE.

I would like to fill a appication to a resedent

Arbor Glen like a lot of rental properties has had they're challenges. It's over 23 yrs old No housekeeping in the buildings too cheap to keep good help! They don't pay maintenance anything less than 20 an hour which is shameful!! They raise your rent every year as much as 110.00 but do not want to give you anything for it. No new carpet no new appliances when they're out dated and not energy efficient. Property was built in 2000. It's 23 years old. The air conditioning in the lobbies broke all summer so you could not enjoy the sitting areas in the lobby. We lost the head of maintenance he was interested in saving Arbor Glen money instead of being here for the people that live here. He fell off a roof to try to save Arbor Glen money instead of calling someone to fix the problem. So now we're out of our head of maintenance .So now we're short of someone that's knowledgeable and kept things pretty much running around here. There's flood damage in various buildings not addressed yet you pay $100 more rent every year. You pay all this rent plus water.& sewer gas & electricity. He is out injured probably till the 1st of the year. Our 2 maintenance people do the best that they can when allowed. Gross wants vacancies done for people to move in instead of taking care of the people who have been here for years. The furnace filters alarm batteries haven't been changed that's dangerous!! Used to be a waiting list to live here not anymore. People are leaving this place left and right. The only RAY of sunshine is our property manager. Jeanette, she does the best she can to advocate for us! But she can't do her job if she can't spend any money without her boss approving everything which she rarely does. They make promises before you move in and then you find out it's a lie!

Looking for condo or apartment

When I moved here in 2018 this place was beautiful. They had four maintenance people. The office staff was professional. Now this place is a dump. We have one and a half maintenance men. One maintenance man is an Einstein and knows everything. The other maintenance man doesn't know anything and has to be taught everything and half the stuff he fixes has to be refixed by the maintenance man that knows something. The housekeeper that they made a leasing agent lies to you all the time She lies to your face. She strings you along tells you things are being done when they're not. Everytime you turn around they have to get a new property manager because the one the get quits. The leasing agent that used to be in housekeeping should have stayed in housekeeping. At least the building stay clean. Now she lies to your face and the buildings don't stay clean. Gross residential only cares about building condos in North Royalton. They don't care about spending money in a 20-year-old property where old people live. They don't care about the old people anymore. They don't care about this property anymore. They only care about making money elsewhere. We pay water, gas and sewer and for what we pay we deserve better. You shouldn't have to wait 4 weeks for something to be fixed but it's not the maintenance fault. Gross residential doesn't want to pay their employees any money. They pay them less than what people making McDonald's. You can make burgers for 16 and $17 an hour. Who wants to work for 14 or $13 an hour doing maintenance. It's a joke. Gross residential makes all this money yet they don't pay the employees anything and that's why we can't get quality people to come and work here and stay here and work... The people that pay and exorbitant amount of rent can't get the services they need. Can't get the things replaced that they need. It's shameful!!

I have not lived in an apartment in many years, and to say the least, the thought caused anxiety. But the manager Jennette and Rachel was nothing less than a breath of fresh air. These ladies were welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. They made the entire process go painlessly and smoothly. I am so happy that soon I will be a resident and a part of this community. I have Jennette to thank. ManagerJennette is nothing short of awesome !!!!

We love it here! Clean, quiet, peaceful, maintenance is right on top odds things/ professional/ and quick to fix things. The apartments hosts a complementary Christmas dinner for residents each year, which is really nice. The rec center is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained. Neighbors are all nice - our building has frequent get togethers in our foyer a couple times a year with food, drinks. And plenty of friendship to go around. Love the private library on site. We're very happy here.
