This is not a equal opportunity property, however they claim they are to waste your time and money ( application fees). They have raised rent to prevent low income tenants but claim equal opportunity to gain access to tax credits.

Awful management, amenities and flat the only good thing is the maintenance people which are sweet polite and very friendly. The outdoor areas are dirty full of rubbish and dog poo everywhere. The office is understaffed and impossible to contact, when you manage some are rude and pretentious. I have lived there 2 years and only tolerated those years because of the maintenance people which solved all the massive amount of problems without having to deal with the awful office people (Carlos was the only decent person in the office)...

The remodel was definitely done in a hurry. I couldve repainted the whole apartment better then whoever painted it and Im a 19yr old female. The bathroom in my apartment was not remolded, everything was just painted over which is crappy. There are never parking spots available and the in laundry unit (all residents in the building use just 1 washer and 1 dryer) is absolutely disgusting AND neither ever accept my card so I am always having to go elsewhere to do my laundry.

This place is actually a fabulous deal for the price and location! They're doing a lot of renovations (central AC, bathroom upgrades and a full kitchen remodel) which gives the place a new feel and you can't beat the price! I have really enjoyed my stay here and the staff is very friendly! Always greeting me with a smile and knows me by name!

The Flats at Douglas is a well renovated (for the price) apartment complex with friendly maintenance staff, decent amenities, and well located for a college student. If my review was based solely on the property and the maintenance I would easily give this complex 4/5 stars, however, there is a glaring issue that has caused regular anxiety and undue stress to myself and my fianc, the management. They are friendly and kind at first glance, however, the reality of the situation is their Property Manager has repeatedly proven to myself and others her complete lack of empathy, kindness, or even common decency. I have received six eviction notices to date, all of which were in error, my storage unit had the lock cut and my possessions removed by management (which they denied even though our neighbor watched as maintenance cut the lock), and now as a cherry on top, my fiancs car was towed. We both work 45-60 hour weeks, pay our rent in advance, and keep to ourselves. When I get to my door at the end of a 12 hour shift to find eviction notices telling me to "Vacate in 3 days" it causes way more stress than I need. When I asked the Property Manager what they would do to correct the 4th consecutive months eviction notice, she stared at me blankly and said, What do you mean? We didnt charge you anything. So what is there to fix?. Working as a manager I have dealt with my fair share of difficult customers and I have repeatedly reminded myself that everyone makes mistakes. Mine must have been expecting to be treated with respect by the management team.
