I have a family member who lives here. The bathroom is disgusting. The tub NEVER drains. When the shower is on the tub faucet still has a full stream of water coming from it. The hall smells heavily from cigarettes and other things. Not sure why a person wrote a review saying something about not being able to smoke near buildings. The hallway I have entered in reeks from smokers. The dumpsters are ridiculously far away. The closets in the hall and master, doors stick and hardly close.
I come down the stairwell during the week, and there is often someone's trash left there. There isn't a lot of upkeep in the buildings. The lobby and hallways were done, which is great, but our actual apartments are FALLING APART. My bathroom is a wreck, my carpeting is coming up, my closet doors are coming off the track which is coming out of the wall.
This isnt bad. They are pretty strict with their rules. Expect emails almost daily with new rules and reminders to people to stop trashing the building. You cannot smoke within 50 feet of building now, so if you smoke keep that in mind. People trash the parking lots and elevators, which by the way are usually broken. Good location and updated apartments are actually not bad. Its a cute little spot. Garbage cans are quite a hike and its really hard to move in and out considering the stairwells. Hire movers and youll be set.
Imagine this: You come home from a long days work to your freshly, UNPLOWED driveway, you go to park and, what's this? One of the MANY wild walmart carts is in the parking space! After this you walk through the beautiful landscape decorated with trash thrown from your neighbors balconies. You finally get to the door to the building and, Oh no, not again, the door won't unlock. Better try 30 more times until it does. Then you finally get inside your home after walking through an invisible cloud of smoke and other smells to see maintenance has been by to "fix" your issue... and they used inappropriate parts to do so and it looks like crap after haphazardly throwing your belongings out of the way to complete the job. Great. Now you check your tracking number in USPS and see your package has been delivered. Go to the mailroom, but unfortunately you were too late and grubby fingers got there before you. Better luck next time. Thank you, Chestnut Lake.
It's a great place to live
