Apartment was okay, the carpet was terrible though, whoever installed it left nails that my baby almost ate, also management is clueless on repairs and blames you for anything that may break from normal wear and tear. Had a issue with electrical from the ancient wiring that they have, where it would spark and cause the breakers to flip, it was from the metal box inside a plug near the dishwasher. Had to have maintenance come out 5 times and they said I was making it up, they kept sending the worthless maintenance guy who didn't even try to find it and just said we were running too many appliances, we made a point to not even keep our stuff plugged in and it would still flip. They finally said they would send out a different maintenance guy who actually found the cause. Turns out we had nothing to do with it but office management and Dave didn't even try. This place was a horrible experience. I'll never recommend anyone stay there.

Homeless due to mismanagement I had been a resident at Chestnut Lake for a while, over a year. It wasn't horrible at first, despite the management constantly telling me they'd tow a vehicle in the middle of a pandemic(October if I recall correctly), where licenses and registration was deemed valid until the end of the year. Then it gets horrible. I moved to another apartment in building #5. Around January 7th(2021), the apartment above mine, clogged their toilet, causing a huge flood in the apartments from floor 6 to floor 1. This was not clean water, and having a newborn, I requested a new apartment, as a contractor stated that the apartment was hazardous due to (potential) fecal contamination in the water. I was told that my concerns were not valid, and that they'd shampoo the carpet, and paint the walls. I had written documentation from three parties, stating that it was unsafe for habitation, as well as extremely hazardous for a newborn, yet the apartment refused to do anything to accommodate. I was virtually homeless, with a newborn, and a partner who just came from the hospital and a physically draining experience. I eventually sent documentation, and had to get consultation from lawyers to break my lease. The real kicker, is that they sent their maintenance men, their contractors, and other staff, into apartments with Biohazardous water, without proper PPE or explanation. The contractors that came out to 'repair' my apartment had not been told that the repairs were needed from a (potentially) fecal contamination leak. There are some good people here, like a couple maintenance guys, as well as the leasing office.They understand how horrible the situation was, and apologized many times, for the lack of professionalism management displayed. This is my experience with Brookfield properties/Chestnut Lake. This is not in attempts to drive business away, or cause any downturn in business.

My experience has been very very bad, leaking bathroom from the above apartment ( pouring) has been fixed twice in one month and still pours, unhealthy living and bad maintenance ( videos to prove available)

Chestnut Lake is a great place to live. Its clean and safe. Ive been a happy resident for 4 years so far. Keep up the great work!!!!
