Settler's Landing

I went to see an apartment. The leasing person said she couldn't show me an apartment bc she just showed the last apartment for the day. She didn't close for another hour and a half. She said she needed to start closing for the day. She wasn't closing early. I got the sense it was a lengthy and important task. I guess more important than renting an apartment to me. Believe it or not, I went back and there was a second leasing person who heard me announce my name upon entering the office. He said he just got my phone message. He said he was just getting messages from 2 days ago. The one time I was a leasing agent, if someone came in, I showed them an apartment. If they showed 5 minutes before I closed, I showed them an apartment. Life has really changed. The goal, the number one goal, is to acquire and maintain a high occupancy rate. The apartment I saw was Nothing to write home about. I wonder if the manager knows how the office is being run or if the unprofessionalism I was shown is today's standards.

My fiance and I just moved into Settler's Landing at the beginning of this year and it has been great! The staff is very friendly, maintenance is quick and responsive and the location is close to Akron and Cleveland! We are excited to enjoy the pool this summer!!

I toured last weekend and I think I'm going to choose this apartment because they had the nicest grounds and pool area, very impressed!

The office staff is very unprofessional, Sara the assistant is rude and prejudice, she doesnt know how to communicate well, I would suggest you move somewhere else

Nothing but bad things to say. Walls are paper-thin. Parking is impossible. The pet fee's are ridiculous. There is only one trash compactor which is almost always full. Maintenance does a half job and you better keep copies of all your requests and service receipts or they will ding you when you move out. When we signed our lease we never received a copy but didn't even think about it until we went to move out and receive an itemized list of charges and were unable to dispute any of them against the lease agreement because we didn't have one. When we signed, we were told the pet deposit would go to clean/replace the carpet in the unit but the move-out notice didn't apply it and we ended up owing them $300 for the replacement of the carpet that the pet deposit should have covered. When we called to dispute and get copies of our lease we got the run around and were told, "I'm sorry you were misinformed but you need to pay the notice in full." After a few months of no success they send out "debt" to a debtor who then told us, well if you don't pay it you'll go to collections. Save yourself a similar hassle and don't bother moving here.
