It Just wasn't any spectacular. The leasing lady was incredibly nice, and the building location is amazing.
Well, I've been a tenant at the Westbury Apartments for almost 8 years now. And I've had many experiences. For the most part the management team has improved over the years, but the late fees/eviction fees are a little steep/excessive for a company that barely make improvements, and doesn't respond to tenants' requests adequately. I have to say I've clld the Niederst Corp office a few times and I've left messages, and I never got a call back. I've stayed because of the convenience and area, but some things are unacceptable. I think certain actions should be taken against tenants who don't follow rules, damage property, etc. I've actually lived in a non-renovated unit the entire time and from what I hear and compliments, I have the best unit. I requested to have my carpet replaced after 6 years and I was given a hard time and it wasn't replaced until 1 year later after multiple request. I've only had my balcony painted two times and that was per my several requests as well. So my point is, things aren't always even here. But they are quick to add late fees and eviction fees to a tenants account. I've paid my share of fees and I don't think I should've paid as many as I have. As a great tenant, that has proven a willingness to pay fees, maintain a great apartment (which could be used as a model apt) ... but it's non-renovated, despite management's sometimes unwillingness to help and respond to requests, should be taken into consideration and certain fees should be waived. It's obvious that due to my time here, I've added to The Westbury's profit in fees along ne as much a I pay - as I continue to receive lease renewals each time one has expired. I've demonstrated what a good tenant should be and I feel as though The Westbury has failed me time after time. I'll be moving soon, but I just thought I'd leave my experience for Viewing. I just wish they did things a little differently especially for tenants with longevity, pay fees, &keep apartments in immaculate conditions
I personally felt as if the staff could have been more understanding and friendly. The elevator issue was a very unpleasant inconvenience. The fees were not clearly stated. I think a full break down including hidden fees could have been presented. WiFi should be included in rent, if possible. The fees weren't clearly stated. But, overall nice place to stay and great views.
The apartments were run down, very dark in the hallways, the appearance on the inside was poor. How water problems, etc. Gym' equipment was low grade at best.
We were never told about the middle elevator being broke forever and it's just now being worked on. The water pressure finally is getting to normal.
