I wouldnt be surprised if The Drake accepts Section 8. As soon as my husband and i walked in the leasing office we were greeted by the most ignorant, incompetent, unprofessional woman we have ever met. I cannot even try to make this up. She said, yall be needing to show yall ID if yall wanna do the tour. We did the tour. She couldnt even answer most of our questions like knowing the size of the storage rooms or if the building had security. Her exact answer was, security be walking around the building. Also, the model they show perspective tenants is not even close to what youll get if you decide to make this place your home. In essence, dont waste your time here. Youll save more money if you moved down the way to the projects.
Very average in all areas. The office staff tend to have attitudes. Maintenance staff are prompt and helpful. The hallway carpeting in Building 2 is long overdue for replacement. Stained and nasty. Neighbors are fine. No problem after over three years. Rent can be paid online which is convenient. The rent amount also seems average for a two bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bathroom 800 sq. feet place. No real complaints or great things to say. Its easier to renew the lease than to move.
Love it hear will move to a bigger apartment when lease is up
This place is great so far, nice and quiet compared to everything else. Everyone is super nice. Very clean and comfortable.
I'm a current resident with a harsh review, but not because I've done something wrong, it's because of what I've actually experienced living here. My advice is to not be fooled by the nice photos shown of the renovated areas. Most of the apartments are still dated, the hallways look disgusting, people always leave unwanted furniture & clothes in the lobby, sidewalks & parking lots aren't kept clear in the winter, plenty of unprofessional attitudes in the leasing office, and I could go on and on. If you only require a low standard of living, this is the place for you. But if you expect more than the suburban ghetto experience, then I'd suggest you look elsewhere!!! I'm looking forward to moving out of this place!!
