UPDATE 08/21/19 - I went to the BBB regarding this matter, the company sent this a response regarding the agent Hailey the office staff and sent something that it is My fault they charged the pet fee. That doesn't make any sense. I explained to them I want to be refunded for my deposit etc. They refuse too still to this day. I would advise to think twice before moving into these places. I have no idea why they responded to this with a phone number to call back when they refuse to handle the issue. I already spoke with them and have E-mails. I will keep this going and update according. Around May 2019 and I applied and based on credit etc was accepted at the following apartments referred to as Heritage Preserve Apartments located in Hilliard Ohio for a move in date of August 01 2019. They looked very nice and I wanted and great customer service from the rental agent. However a few things were left out of our conversation that I had to send clarification E-mail's a few days later regarding the pet deposit and in addition regarding the additional cost associated with the advertised "free cable and internet" which isn't so free if you wish to have the very basic 5GBT to upgrade per AT&T universe it is a additional $45.00 dollars that information needs to be included upon viewing the apartments. In addition to this the fees were made quite unclear, I was first it was advised that application fee was free, then you had too pay " Admin Fee" $ 225.00 which they later tried to say was a holding fee which is it? Secondly I qualified for the lowest deposit $300.00 in which they asked for prior to move in which I thought was odd, if I was being charged a holding fee already but ok. Then the apartments stated hey didn't receive my medical information indicating that my pet is a therapy dog per the state level they are unable to charge a pet deposit. In which they still charged me $300.00 I paid it and they advised me they would refund in which they never did.

We are sorry to hear that you were not able to follow through with your move in and we hope you are doing well. To address some of your concerns, the admin fee that is paid is done so at the time application. The only way we are able to "hold" an apartment and take it off the market is with a paid security deposit. On the application that is signed, it clearly states that the admin fee and security deposit are non-refundable should an applicant choose not to sign a lease or take occupancy of the apartment. As for the pet fees, we are more than happy to waive them, per federal law, if proper documentation is provided. Terrible management and local property staff during my 5 months tenancy. I was there as my home was being built and arranged a short term lease, which was super expensive, but I agreed, based on my perception that this was a slightly upper level property. Management has no care for it's tenants. My home was completed 6 weeks early, so I notified management I would be moving out very early and they said they may be able to rent my place for the last month. I asked about paying the rent and they said let's see what we can do to get it rented for you. I followed up several times and was told it was being showed and hold on. On the last day they said no, so go ahead a pay. I did, through their portal, but it was 1 day late. $155 late fee! Corporate was not even willing to listen to why and the local "manager" no longer works for them...Steer clear

OMG. This place is the best. I've only been here for about 6 months but I totally know I'm renewing my lease when it's up. I only got to use the pool a few times but it is the best place to hang out. I really love biking and there are these great trails thru the preserve and they even have a place to store bikes inside. My apartment is beautiful and Brand New and I love it! The one time I needed something fixed it was done the same day. The office people are super nice, even the manager.

Love how great the staff has been here since we first moved in. The times I asked about a loose facet he had it fixed within in a day. I love the pop prints program as you really never see anyone not picking up after thier dog. The building feels safe and secure always . My children have made friends and enjoy walks around the ponds,swimming, bike rides and photography of the wildlife. Its far enough off the main road theres no traffic and is great they do things for the residents and the kids.

Definitely not renewing my lease! POOR insulation I can literally hear my neighbor snoring while sitting on my couch. Not to mention I can't even talk/ watch tv at night without someone aggressively banging on my wall. Everything looks nice but is CHEAP. YOU can hear EVERYTHING. My dishes leave stains In my sink even if they are only in there for a day bec the sink is cheap material. The apartments are located in an empty field with a dinky bike path... wish there were trees or some type of scenery other than dirty and muddy water! Everyone seems super unfriendly and unwelcoming! Doesn't feel "homie" one bit! Find somewhere worth your money!
