The hallway smelled bad. The apartment smelled bad and there were bug traps. The people in the office also acted as if they hadnt been communicating with me for almost 2 weeks.
GOING ON A TANGENT. Bare with me.
First let me say, the ladies at the office have been nothing but pleasant. No matter how frustrated Ive been, I havent been rude with them and they have not been rude with me.
So we had every intention on moving out of this place when our lease was up (June 16th) but due to covid and being laid off, no check stubs etc, we were put into a corner and decided to resign our lease. TERRIBLE IDEA.
We resigned our lease CONTINGENT on our maintenance requests being fixed. Our dishwasher hasnt worked since we moved in, which Ive addressed several times. Every time I was promised a new one, yet here we are... THREE YEARS LATER and no new dishwasher.
Maintenance has came into my home on numerous occasions to fix leaks in my bathroom, which are often behind the wall causing leaks into the bathroom downstairs, Id say at the very least 10 times within the past year. Not to mention, the day I brought my daughter home from the hospital they were here until 10:30 at night. Me, a brand new breastfeeding mom. First day home from the hospital and I couldnt even take a shower in my own home. Couldnt nurse my baby without going in my bedroom because men were coming in and out of my home. Granted, maintenance were very apologetic and it obviously wasnt their fault. The fact of the matter is, it shouldnt have happened for the umpteenth time.
Late March of this year, right when covid first started all the shut downs, maitenance had to enter my home yet again. This time they left a HUGE hole in the wall behind my toilet and in the ceiling of my downstairs neighbors apartment. I can hear every single word they say, everything they do, I can see then they turn the light on, etc. Because there is now pretty much no barrier between us and them. If I were to stick my head into the hole, I could see directly into their bathroom. Talk about invasion of privacy!! And what do they say when I request to have it fixed??
Karen in the office is super nice and helpful. Really like living here so far. It's quite and close to everything.
You wont have the beat apt guide in the world. That back corner where I walk is always so disgusting. I think its still Merlin sr. There is always glass on the sidewalk. Lights are always out. I know one of the maintenance guys lives across the way. You could let him off early on a day and have him go around at night and Che the lights. We shouldnt have to do it. I mean last fall one ball was totally gone and another was just on the ground forever. Of course it was back in the trash corner. Where I live stays clean thank god! Ladies in the office I like a lot though. They are super nice
Just dont. Heat was broken for weeks in winter before they finally came to fix it. AC is broken now (THEY broke it, it was fine before they came to service it) and still havent done anything about it. Kitchen window broke a couple months ago and still have not come to fix it.
