I recently moved out from Grafton park. I was happy about GP, until I stayed there. After I move-out, I got a move-out due of around $255 (for water charge, Carpet cleaning & carpet rip repairing charge). I replied to that email with a clarification stating that the carpet rip was not because of us and I noticed that rip happened on the day the maintenance team was working to replace the refrigerator in my apartment. Also I made a complaint on the same to leasing office on the next day of the maintenance happened. Maintenance team checked the carpet rip and informed that carpet expert would come and check it. But no turn back, so again filed a complaint, this time they came and told us, pls do not worry, it is on our shoulder. By stating this, I told the security team to check back with the apartment maintenance team and requested them to come back with the revised amount. But instead I got an email stating that I need to pay an amount of around $988 (for water charge and carpet replacement charge). I called them to get clarified on the same, but they say they didn't check properly the move-out inspection, later the security team was advised to charge the amount for carpet replacement and they also set up an aut-opay to deduct the amount from my account after getting the account details from me. But I tried to get the reason for the 2nd time charge through email again and again, but I am not getting straight answers from them. I feel, if I ask them again, they may come back with new increased due amount stating that they didn't check it properly the move-out inspection again. I feel that I shouldn't questioned them for initial move-out pay amount. If you want to clarify with them, they will come back with extra charge to shut-up your mouth. I feel that I have been cheated by them and it is not fair. Do not just think about their specials, because they will grab it back while moving-out in the name of move-out due. Please beware of Champions property.
Grafton Park is a newer complex that was a great place to live. The staff is extremely responsive from answering emails to completing any work orders. The complex is well kept and in a great spot surrounded by restaurants and stores. I would highly recommend these apartments high quality for a very reasonable price!
The staff in the office are very friendly and helpful. Maintenance team is fast and excellent. The fitness center and clubhouse are really good. Overall, this is a nice community and its been excellent living at Grafton Park.
I guessed employees in leasing office were friendly like in our first visit but I was dissapointed yesterday when my friend said me that leasing office employees do not allowed him waiting for me in leasing office for a short time. This behaviour is big unpoliteness and this means that this employees are not sincerly like in our first meeting...
Champion apartments states that they are customer service oriented, but I have been more than unsatisfied with living at Grafton Park. Initially my roommate and I lived on the first floor. We had neighbors that sounded like a zoo live above us. We complained to the front office multiple times, and nothing was ever done. After 5 months, they finally agreed to let us move to a different unit. We were the first people to live in this unit. 2 days ago I realized our AC was blowing out hot air. I submitted a maintenance request, and 2 days later came back to a note that said it will be a week before they can get a part to fix our AC. It is July 4th, the middle of summer, and I am going to have to sit in a 3rd floor unit with no AC. How in the world can Champion be okay with cheaply built apartments. It currently is 88 degrees at 7pm in our apartment and is suppose to be 90 the rest of the week so it will only continue to get hotter. I have a puppy who is going to have to sit in the hot apartment for a week until this is fixed. Customer service, I think not.
