Located in the revitalized Harrison West neighborhood, Village West is named for being on the bridge between Victorian Village and Harrison West to create the Village West name. Residents enjoy the unique architecture of historic Victorian Village and easy access to work and play in the Short North, the Arena District, OSU campus and downtown Columbus.
Village West's spacious one-bedroom flats and two-bedroom townhomes are well-lit with open floorplans and modern finishes. Brushed-silver light fixtures, pendant lighting, brushed-nickel hardware, and upgraded kitchen counters, California Berber carpeting with exposed original hardwood floors (in select units) accent Harrison West's galley-style kitchens, extra closets, enclosed private patios, and roomy bedrooms.
For the past 2 1/2 years Village West has been an excellent place to live and is such great value for the price! Not to mention the location is ideal - a short walk to just about everything on high street. Wouldn't change a thing!
It's a great location, reasonably priced, the pool area is great, staff is great, etc.. I've lived in other complexes on Thurber and this one has been the best in every way so far.
It used to be a really nice place to live. AMAZING maintenance manager! However, the new building manager is really intense and difficult to work with. Just as an example, she is now employing a pool monitor, which will be her version of a hall monitor to make sure people follow the rules at the pool....
We stayed at Village West longer than initially planned because of the great service. However, we are planning to move now to a place with less hands on management.
All repair requests and other inquires the property manager have been responded to almost immediately. Apartment itself is nice and surrounding area is well kept. The hours of availability of the laundry room is aggravating and inconvenient because they close at 10pm. Also, if you get home after 9pm there is never parking and I am forced to park in the street.
Management is basically none existent and the email I got to even do the survey didn''??t even put the right name on it but one of my previous roommate''??s names. I have moved out and my other two roommates are about to move out as the place is almost falling apart with leaks so bad they have to turn the electric off when they aren''??t home. There is also no control of people''??s pets that live in the apartments. Few people (my roommates are one of the few) actually leash their dogs and pick up after the
