These apartments are a joke! We have lived here 1 year and looking to move! From the first day walking into the apartment, it was a mess. Walls painted over with dirt, webs and holes under the paint. Dirty diapers, trash and waterbugs seen and the woman explained it's been empty, which is a lie because we did a drive past 2 weeks before our move in and the family was still living here! Exposed electrical outlets and lights hanging from one screw. Windows painted shut holes in the closet sharing a wall to the bathroom. Cracks in foundation, celling slowly caving in, appliances that are glued/painted/ rigged to "work". After a year of asking nothing has still been done. They tried to charge us for things wrong on their behalf and I had to stand my ground the entire year living here. Now we are being harassed by the office for letting them know that these things were not done yet and I have hired a building inspector to come out. I've been a manager in an apartment office and an office manager, in general the way they "run" things and have been are wrong. Moving here was just a last minute decision and we have regretted it everyday since. As far as neighborhood...that's a laugh, it's a whole other mess on it's own!
This place is HORRIBLE. I've been here for 4 years now. I've had roaches, rats and now raccoons. My basement has flooded over 100 times and counting. The office staff including, Jamie the manager, act totally oblivious to the harm they are doing to families within Whitehall. Now that I am trying to move, I see that most of the 3 bedroom apartment complexes are owned by New Life Property. What a shame when they can't even manage one let alone all of them. I guess Whitehall is ok with the monopoly of having New Life Property owning and managing all the 3 bedroom apartments.
If you can find another complex, please do so. The water bill is never sent to you even after you request it. When you first move in, all of the windows are painted shut. You have to physically take a knife to unlodged them. 2 years ago, majority of the basement flooded due to excessive rain. I asked the complex to just clean the basement due to mold and they refused. This is after the maintenance man said that they would. We went back and forth for a week trying to figure out who was responsible. At first, they were saying that it was the city of Whitehall's responsibility (which was untrue). The units are not energy efficient at all. And at the last minute, they added another bill to our rent. They call is an online access fee so that we can see and pay out rent on online. I don't use it nor did I request it but I'm still being charged. The walls are paper thin. I say again, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Its literally horrible If you want bugs and a broken house thats over priced, be my guest. My neighbors flooded my whole basement, there was poop in my friends bathroom sink, who also lives in these townhomes, and that happened every time her neighbors flushed their toilet. Its really a disgusting place to live. The staff attitude is horrible, dont ever call to discuss your account, they just start off with the attitude. They dont care. And they will double charge your bank account if u pay online!
This is actually a borderline hidden gem. It's not Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Reynoldsburg, or Bexley, and these aren't the newest homes with the latest amenities. This is Whitehall, where the taxes are relatively low, there's easy freeway access fairly close at hand, there is a bit of shopping, and the rental prices are RIGHT. The 3 br/ 1 ba ranch "doubles" are just the right size for a young couple or single child family, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the homes themselves, while dated, are comfortable and maintenance does an adequate job of upkeep. $700 is a steal for a 2 bedroom in this town, much less 3. You owe it to yourself to come take a look.
