We have lived in various apartments for the last 5 years while my husband is in grad school and residency and we have never had as good of an experience as we have had at The District at Linworth. Even today, as I was walking to meet my daughter as she got off the school bus, I could not believe how beautiful our apartment complex is. The landscaping and very well kept grounds are my favorite part. It really is a beautiful property with great amenities.
Great people, great amenities, great staff, well taken care of
We lived here for two years during a medical residency and the apartments are fine. Nice, but built very poorly. We routinely paid over $400 for utilities. We could hear everything our neighbors talked about or did. We also had a bunch of issues with a water line that broke in our wall. They had to tear through our walls trying to fix it (after flooding both of our downstairs neighbors for a week or two). There is never anywhere to park and a very high chance that every pair of your shoes will be covered in dog poop. There is also a huge trash issue, our neighbors continually left trash molding and rotting on the doorstep.
Probably the worst part about the complex is how we were treated when we left. There was a miscommunication on both ends about having to provide written 60 day notice to vacate. They did nothing to help remedy there end of the mix up or to make things right and fair. Watch out because at the end of the day they are a corporation that doesn't care much for their individual tenants. There are better places to live in C-bus.
The district in itself is nice and maintenance staff is great but the rental office is terrible it's just a bunch of young college girls who have no idea what they are doing. On the day I moved in I was told the different rent amounts they couldn't figure out how to prorate. Then once I moved in the apartment was not cleaned or ready and highly damaged.
The circuit breakers had no panel just wires hanging out of the wall and the thermostat was missing and wires out of the wall there as well and all the cabinets were damaged and when they painted it got all over the floors and windows and counters.
Also had a door ripped off the hinges.
They advertise luxury but go down the street a mile to wesbury park or meadow view those are nicer and better managed.
Great Location - Central to everything. But kind of pricey for the quality of fixtures etc. Walls are paper thin, you can hear the neighbors dog barking both on the other side of you and below you. Property Manager is mostly incompetent void of any "customer service skills" and only responds to e-mails that benefit her.
