The heat never works when its supposed too the hot wayer is never bot and the cold water is never cold. Even under new management nothing has really improved.
staff (including manager) are incompetent and uncaring. I have been lied to (directly to my face) multiple times. I have had an issue with bed bugs practically since I moved in. After 6-7 alleged "treatments" (alleged because I can never seem to actually get a confirmation, or even a work-order detailing what they did, despite staff promising to provide one) that ended up being wholly and completely ineffectual. I did my part to prepare my apartment each time, and, when (or even if) they even bother to (allegedly) show up, they usually "only cover a section of the apartment" (if they actually treat at all), which allows the bugs a chance to migrate. I have (politely) emailed the property manager multiple times simply asking for a work-order detailing the last treatment, which he, prior to the treatment, promised that I would receive. He has never replied.
I hate it here, and have actively convinced friends, family, acquaintances (or even friends-of-friends) to avoid this place like the plague. The elevators are regularly malfunctioning, as is the air conditioning, which results in long, hot, brutal walks up several flights of stairs, just to get in to my infested apartment.
Having utilities included and my balcony are the reason I chose this place. I've been here for 2 years. The ac whent out twice this summer and they had a hard time fixing it. If you choose to live here I sudjest living on a lower floor. Just Incase there is a elevator or ac issue. Everything is fixed for now. There is currently a 4 person team of security guards 24 hours a day on premises because the front door is broke and doesn't close. I hope that once it is fixed that they keep the security. The neighborhood isn't the best but still I've lived here 2 years and have had no problems with my car or getting into my apartment. If you live here you should expect weekly visits from Firefighters cause the alarm gets tripped often or someone is in need. May appartment has a funky fire alarm box inside on the wall (also the standard smoke detectors) and when the alarm is tripped it is blaring for a long time before it is turned off. It's really offputting when the alarm is tripped. Again this alarm is the same type that's also in the hallways so it's really loud. When I moved in originally the front gates would be closed at night and only open with a key fob. Now they remain open always because the fire department didn't have access. And each time they came (at least once a week) they would ram the gate open. So that's the reason the appartment place has kept it open. The ownership did change and I do see some improvements. I don't like how when they changed ownership they started chargeing a $3 fee for mailing a rent invoice when I make online payments. It would be fine if I agreed to it but I didn't. It started happening half way into my lease term.One month I even paid in advance and was still charged a $3 fee to send me a invoice stating the balance I owed for the upcoming month was $0. The last thing I will tell you is that as per the lease there is a 60 day moveout notice. Right now that clause is making it difficult to find a appartment that will wait for me.
My apartment is great. However, the staff usually doesn't know what they're doing, we never consistently have air or heat, and we never know if we'll have an elevator when we come back. The washers and dryers are also always down
I've done enough bad reviews for this complex. There is a lack of care from management and staff for the people that live there and the overall condition of it all is below poor.
