Hands down the worst place I have ever had the misfortune of living. Where to even begin? -Non-stop construction, inside and out. They will say that the construction crews dont start before 8 AM, that is a lie. Scissor lifts have been blocking what little street parking there is, for at least a month. Scissor lift engines running right outside your windows all day, every day. Ask for timeline when it will be finished and no one in management can tell you. -Parking garage gates: Rarely if ever working. Youll be directed to use a different gate, usually out the back entrance, and will have to navigate around scissor lifts and construction vehicles parked in the driveway. I will say, Brewers Yard is one of the few nicer apartment places that does not charge for the parking garage. For now, Im certain that will change at some point. -Communal area fees: Enjoy paying for amenities that you will never use. Easily an extra $40 or $50 a month on top of your rent. -The non-stop trains that run on the tracks behind the building. The leasing office will lie to you and tell you that you wont hear the trains. Do not believe them. They will tell you that, then sneak an addendum about the train into your lease agreement. This should have been a red flag for me, but Im an idiot. At first glance, the apartments and complex are nice, but once you scratch the surface, not so much. Spend a little more if you can afford it, to not live here.

My boyfriend and I lived there for one year ending this last April in a 2 bedroom with a balcony facing west. PROs: Awesome location, great pool and workout facility. When we moved out they gave us back the whole deposit (minus last electric bill). The office has little events throughout the year, some impromtu with beer and wine. Our balcony was great and overlooked the Scioto Audubon metro park. Apartments have tons of storage. The mail room is inside the building so you never need to go outside in the elements. CONs: The trains are VERY loud on the west side of the building. We had a lot of centipedes throughout the warm months. Each unit only gets one parking spot in the garage, even if you have a 2 bed apt (an extra spot is $100/mth). Electric company is through Pioneer Energy Management out of Worthington and is about 2-3 times more expensive than AEP. The windows were really drafty and I had to put plastic on them to combat the cold. There were many instances of dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs, including on the sidewalks outside the building, and some of the stairwells regularly smelled like urine. It is a nice place but if I knew then what I know now I would have probably lived someplace else. It's too much money for the amount of annoyances we had.

Great place to live. Left for a rental in German Village - but came back because of the great amenities and good price. Staff are always helpful too. Ken

I was excited to tour this apartment complex but became very disappointed during the tour upon hearing that the prices and specific information about the apartment was very different than what was advertised online. Needless to say, Im going to keep on looking for a new complex that has less hidden expenses

I visited this property and loved it. I didnt like the carpet I would much rather have vynal or hardwood. Also the creamy neutral paint would be much better as a light gray for a more modern touch for a downtown apartment.
