If I could give less than 1 star for Tusculum View and C&M Properties - I would! This place is in shambles. My first few days in this complex should've told me how the rest of my time here would turn out. The ceiling in the hallway collapsed due to excessive water damage and mold. When I called maintenance, they acted like I was hassling them to get it taken care of as I had to walk under it to come and go. They came to clear it away & left the garbage can there for a few days & didnt actually fix the ceiling for about a week.
This place is riddled with moisture dwelling bugs (silverfish, house centipedes, Orange centipedes, spiders). I found out silverfish ONLY flock to where there is moisture mold and dampness. Everything in my apartment is brand new - cabinets, carpet and appliances and wood kitchen flooring. The flooring is warped...Ive never spilled anything on it. Its warped bc theres a constant dampness. My couches & bed always feel slightly damp. Everything has mold growing around it. When I brought the mold to the property managers attention I was told, Ive never seen that happen beforeyou should get damprid. She also told me to file a renters insurance claim - trying to act like this is not her problem.
I went to Austin, TX for 7 days and I had a tv stand moved from one room to my bedroom & had a backpack on it.I came back to it with mold all over it and also growing on the backpack. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM. I have woken up to silverfish crawling across my face. I finally had enough, and decided it was time to move.
The ONLY reason people want to live here is because they think they are getting a deal in Columbia-Tusculum, but then once they are locked into a lease they realize what a mistake they made.
Overall the apartment is good. the only issue I have encountered is in the parking lot. The spaces are uneven. Some are so narrow a car cannot park in it without hitting another when the door when the drivers or passengers get out.
I have been living in this apartment complex for 2.5 years and i love the location! It is close to Downtown, Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout, Oakley etc. Plenty of room for 1-2 people in the apartments and i love the open concept feel of the living/kitchen/dining. The maintenance line is always available and come to fix problems quickly even if it is simple issue. I would recommend this as an affordable option in a great neighborhood! Thumbs up!
For some one who wants to be close to Cincinnati without paying the expensive rent, I'd recommend this apartment complex. I can see downtown Cincinnati and part of the Ohio River from the parking lot, which is neat. It provides easy access to the highways, Mount Lookout, Hyde Park, Oakley, Mariemont and you do not have a lot of traffic noise. The apartments are fairly basic; AC units, range, dishwasher, smoke detector, and hot water.
Water and trash are paid for, which is adds to the affordability. I wish the bathrooms were a little more updated as the fixtures are starting to show their age. No major maintenance issues I've encountered since living here. Parking situation is a little tight, my car has a few new door dings since living here, now I park on the street when I am here. Nothing really the management can do about it, if you have a nice car or at least one that you care about...park on the street and walk up the drive...my advice.
No one showed up during our scheduled time to give me a tour of the apartment
